The Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained filly Exocet put up a good effort in winning here, her third win in ten starts to date. She did not show much early pace from her inside barrier (1) and settled nicely in seventh place on the rails before switching out and improving (under riding) at 600m. She responded well from the 200m and finished too well to grab a good win nearing the post.
