Punters from Australia will be able to join with bettors from all corners of the globe to wager on two races from Flemington, two races from Rosehill and all eight thoroughbred races from Meydan's Dubai World Cup meeting.

While the Blue Diamond Stakes meeting from Caulfield was offered alongside the Saudi Cup card in Riyadh last month, this is the first time that two Australian meetings are joined with another international fixture.

Here is a preview of all 12 races being offered as World Pool events globally.

FLEMINGTON

SUNLIGHT CLASSIC

Listed, 1100m

A three-year-old sprint begins Saturday's mammoth day of action with the race named for speedy filly Sunlight, winner of the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) and G1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) down the straight at three.

A number of these also ran in the Coolmore Stud Stakes in the spring, including runner-up I AM UNSTOPPABLE. He was poor in the G1 Lightning Stakes (1000m) first-up but he was only beaten just over four lengths by top Kiwi mare Imperatriz and those who finished back with him in the Lightning, Cylinder and The Astrologist, came out and finished first and third in the Newmarket at their next start. It looks an ideal race if he bounces back. Perhaps the only real query is the inside draw, with higher gates appearing slightly more advantaged of late.

ESTRIELLA won the rich Inglis Sprint leading all of the way. She doesn't need to lead but from a high draw, it looks a logical option for her. This is a tougher race but she's sure to have plenty of fans.

Returning fillies STRETAN ANGEL and SALTAIRE create plenty of interest too. Stretan Angel was strong defeating I Am Unstoppable in the G2 Danehill Stakes (1100m) at this course and distance and she flew home the start before. Saltaire also charged from well back in the G3 Red Roses Stakes (1100m) at this track and trip over the Melbourne Cup Carnival. If both get the right setup, they will be in the finish.

Selections: 2-15-3-13

Suggested Win Bet: #2 I Am Unstoppable

Suggested Place Bet: #15 Saltaire

Suggested Quinella Bet: #2 I Am Unstoppable with #3 Stretan Angel, #15 Saltaire

Suggested Duet Bet: #15 Saltaire with #2 I Am Unstoppable, #3 Stretan Angel

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #2 I Am Unstoppable, #3 Stretan Angel, #13 Estriella, #15 Saltaire

TAB AUSTRALIAN CUP

Group 1, 2000m

With a history dating back more than 160 years, the Australian Cup remains one of the country's most prestigious races.

While the nature of the race has changed over the years, being shortened from an original 3600m to its current 2000m and shifting from handicap conditions to weight-for-age on numerous occasions, it still stands as one of the autumn highlights.

This year's Australian Cup is especially hot with seven Group 1 winners, a five-time Group 1 placegetter and the pride of Hungary, ESTI FENY.

PRIDE OF JENNI has been compared to horses like dual Australian Cup winner Vo Rogue or, on the international stage, Japan's Panthalassa after her relentless wins in the G1 Empire Rose Stakes (1600m), G1 VRC Champions Mile (1600m) and the All-Star Mile (1600m). Stepping up to 2000m is a new test for her – she did try it once last year when similar catch-me-if-you-can tactics were employed but they were exaggerated on a heavy track and she weakened out. On top of the ground, she's capable of seeing them all off.

Her old sparring partner MR BRIGHTSIDE will be charging late. He is yet to properly tick the 2000m box but his effort to go down a nose to Romantic Warrior in the Cox Plate was sensational and there is little doubt that he gets the trip on his day. From gate one he should end up in a much better position to chase this time and he will be ready to pounce.

Old marvel CASCADIAN won this race last year and then returned to 1400m three weeks later to place in the G1 All-Aged Stakes. His All-Star Mile run was terrific with this race in mind.

Both ATISHU and LEGARTO are Group 1 winners here, not to mention 2019 Melbourne Cup winner VOW AND DECLARE, while his stablemate YOUNG WERTHER has been placed at the highest level over the course and distance on a couple of occasions.

It really is a race worthy of the Australian Cup name.

Selections: 2-7-3-1

Suggested Win Bet: #2 Cascadian

Suggested Place Bet: #3 Vow And Declare

Suggested Quinella Bet: #2 Cascadian with #1 Mr Brightside, #3 Vow And Declare, #7 Pride Of Jenni

Suggested Duet Bet: #3 Vow And Declare with #1 Mr Brightside, #2 Cascadian, #7 Pride Of Jenni

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #1 Mr Brightside, #2 Cascadian, #3 Vow And Declare, #7 Pride Of Jenni

ROSEHILL

KIA TANCRED STAKES

Group 1, 2400m

While it is far from the strongest Tancred Stakes field that has been assembled, it is certainly an interesting betting race and one that World Pool followers should be excited to get involved with.

Three-year-olds have a great record when they have participated in this race, although it's been seven years since any from that age group has contested the race (filly Lasqueti Spirit), eight years since a three-year-old colt or gelding lined up (Montaigne, who would go on to achieve his greatest successes at Beauty Generation in Hong Kong) and 11 years since they won the race (Fiveandahalfstar).

Both Fiveandahalfstar and Montaigne/Beauty Generation were trained for this race by Anthony Cummings and it is his son James who sends out TOM KITTEN. Much maligned because of his immense promise and his sporadic delivery, he backs up after finishing sixth in the G1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) last week.

While he appeared to have every chance through along the inside, the fence was certainly a question mark last week – especially between the 200m and the 100m where he appeared to be spinning his wheels. He has always looked in need of a mile and a half, even when taking out the G1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) in the spring, and this is as good a time as any to be tackling his elders.

MILITARY MISSION made the remarkable leap from Taree Cup winner in late 2022 to one of the country's most consistent mile and a half horses. In 2023 alone, he landed the G3 Hobart Cup (2400m), the G3 Newcastle Gold Cup (2300m), the G2 Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) and the G2 Sandown Classic (2400m). He comes into his own at this trip and last week's fifth of six in the G1 Ranvet Stakes (2000m), beaten only two and a half lengths, should have topped him off nicely.

All eyes will be on POST IMPRESSIONIST after his monstrous win in the G3 N E Manion Cup (2400m) last weekend, especially given William Haggas' Rosehill record now reads eight starters for six wins and a second. He was renowned in the UK for his inconsistency, so it may be worth taking him on here given there is no value whatsoever.

Selections: 11-2-5-8

Suggested Win Bet: #11 Tom Kitten

Suggested Place Bet: #11 Tom Kitten

Suggested Quinella Bet: #11 Tom Kitten with #2 Military Mission, #5 Post Impressionist

Suggested Duet Bet: #11 Tom Kitten with #2 Military Mission, #7 Kalapour, #8 Bois d'Argent

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #11 Tom Kitten with #2 Military Mission, #5 Post Impressionist, #7 Kalapour, #8 Bois d'Argent

DONCASTER PRELUDE

Group 3, 1500m

The formal Royal Parma Stakes is the last opportunity for horses to qualify for the G1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) next weekend. No horse has actually gone on to win the Doncaster after qualifying through this race, although Cascadian won this race in 2020 before taking the main prize in 2021.

ANOTHER WIL has been heavily backed this week in Australian markets, opening at $15 but shortening all the way into odds-on favouritism. The way the race looks on paper, too, it looks completely justified and it's hard not to have him on top.

It's an incredible move and one that is likely to be reflected in World Pool dividends with bettors abroad sure to take that confidence on board. The highly progressive galloper is a huge chance, but in a wide open event, this opens the door to try and find some value around him particularly in duets.

There looks to be so much speed in here, it's almost impossible to figure out how they will end up racing early. All that looks obvious is that Another Wil should land in the perfect spot behind the speed.

Perhaps MUNHAMEK is worth something in here. The former Hong Kong horse gave Damien Oliver a perfect Australian send-off when he won the G3 Damien Oliver Gold Rush (1400m) in Perth in December. He was unsuited in two small fields at Caulfield and ran home well enough in the All-Star Mile. He is likely to be running on late.

HOSIER is at a big price and deservedly so but he might just end up in the right spot to be able to absorb pressure before his stamina kicks in late. He will improve for the run, as he most likely aims towards a Gosford Cup, but don't be surprised to see him in the minor money.

PHEARSON, who needs to bounce back quickly after a poor run last start, and Listed Singapore Guineas (1600m) winner COIN TOSS are next best in what is probably the most open of all 12 World Pool races on Saturday.

Selections: 17-3-9-4

Suggested Win Bet: #17 Another Wil

Suggested Place Bet: #3 Munhamek

Suggested Quinella Bet: #17 Another Wil with #3 Munhamek, #4 Phearson, #9 Hosier

Suggested Duet Bet: #3 Munhamek with #4 Phearson, #9 Hosier, #12 Coin Toss, #17 Another Wil

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #17 Another Wil with #3 Munhamek, #4 Phearson, #9 Hosier, #12 Coin Toss

MEYDAN

GODOLPHIN MILE

Group 2, 1600m (dirt)

A fascinating rematch from the G1 Saudi Cup (1800m) awaits here with American SAUDI CROWN, third in Riyadh, taking on local ISOLATE, last year's Godolphin Mile winner who was sixth in the world's richest race.

The general school of thought here is that whoever finds the front will win this race. That is most likely to be Saudi Crown, who led them up last time out, but Isolate has led at both starts over this course and distance and – back to a mile – it wouldn't surprise to see them do whatever it takes to find that spot.

Back on home soil, Isolate is likely to represent value with Saudi Crown in the race and so it's worth siding with him. However, it does look like one of the two should win.

Best of the rest is WALK OF STARS, who has flourished this season for Bhupat Seemar without winning, while it would be foolish to underestimate Uruguayan mare PACHOLLI at her Middle East debut. She was a Group 1 winner in Montevideo at her last start in January, although it does seem strange that her winning rider from that day Joao Moreira is not in the saddle given he is riding at Meydan.

Selections: 4-7-12-13

Suggested Win Bet: #4 Isolate

Suggested Place Bet: #13 Pacholli

Suggested Quinella Bet: #4 Isolate and #7 Saudi Crown

Suggested Duet Bet: #12 Walk Of Stars and #13 Pacholli with #4 Isolate, #7 Saudi Crown

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #4 Isolate and #7 Saudi Crown with #8 Scotland Yard, #12 Walk Of Stars, #13 Pacholli

DUBAI GOLD CUP

Group 2, 3200m (turf)

One of the toughest contests of the night is the Dubai Gold Cup, given that most of these are fairly evenly matched and so it will be a wide but tight market.

ELDAR ELDAROV has looked simply sensational in the mornings. A dual St Leger winner, he is yet to prove he stays a strong two miles but a good to firm surface on a flat track should give him every conceivable chance of running out the trip. He's a huge player.

The Dubai carnival has proven fruitful for SISKANY, who hasn't had to be at his best to win the Listed Al Khail Trophy (2800m) and the G3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy (2800m). He was just beaten in this race last year before going to New York to win the G2 Belmont Gold Cup (3200m). This is his chance to atone.

COLTRANE has been at his best on firm surfaces, including a victory in the G2 Lonsdale Cup (3300m) on good to firm going in August. This looks a great starting point for his season and he's another with strong claims.

The likely favourite TOWER OF LONDON deserves respect too coming off a big win in the G3 Red Sea Turf Handicap (3000m) in Riyadh. However, it might be worth taking him on given he is likely going to be under the odds.

Selections: 4-11-2-16

Suggested Win Bet: #4 Eldar Eldarov

Suggested Place Bet: #4 Eldar Eldarov

Suggested Quinella Bet: #4 Eldar Eldarov with #2 Coltrane, #11 Siskany

Suggested Duet Bet: #4 Eldar Eldarov with #2 Coltrane, #5 Enemy, #11 Siskany

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #4 Eldar Eldarov with #2 Coltrane, #5 Enemy, #11 Siskany, #16 Tower Of London

AL QUOZ SPRINT

Group 1, 1200m (turf)

The large Hong Kong presence in the World Pool system may skew this market, but it's also one where it might be worth enjoying the ride with him while also looking for openings elsewhere.

CALIFORNIA SPANGLE might be one of the better bets on the night who looks to have plenty in his favour in the Al Quoz Sprint. He easily brings the best formlines into this race and he has bounced back to form with his G1 Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup (1400m) win last time out. He is unlikely to dictate here, which is usually how he has won, but if there is a strong pace he should be able to withstand pressure to assert late.

Hong Kong bettors are almost certain to send him out shorter in the market than he should be, but with good reason. He's their best chance of the evening.

For those that want to oppose California Spangle, another warhorse in CASA CREED is a player. Fifth in this race two years ago, he was due to return to Riyadh to try and win the G3 1351 Turf Sprint (1351m) at his third attempt after two narrow seconds. Instead, he will begin his 2024 here in a race that looks suitable if he is still at the same level as previous years.

There is a lot of hype around the two three-year-old fillies in the race this year with STAR OF MYSTERY favoured over her last-start conqueror FROST AT DAWN. It is a huge ask to take on hardy types like California Spangle and Casa Creed, even with the weight allowance, but if one were to figure it would be more likely to be Star Of Mystery.

Last year's winner DANYAH also has claims dropping back in trip.

Selections: 2-3-12-4

Suggested Win Bet: #2 California Spangle

Suggested Place Bet: #4 Danyah

Suggested Quinella Bet: #2 California Spangle and #3 Casa Creed

Suggested Duet Bet: #4 Danyah with #2 California Spangle, #3 Casa Creed, #12 Star Of Mystery

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #2 California Spangle with #3 Casa Creed, #4 Danyah, #12 Star Of Mystery

UAE DERBY

Group 2, 1900m (dirt)

Anyone who saw the G3 Saudi Derby (1600m) would have left thinking they'd seen a serious horse in FOREVER YOUNG

Unbeaten in Japan, he travelled to Riyadh where everything that could go wrong did go wrong – and yet he still managed to get up and win. It was a victory where he looked in need of this 1900m trip and it is difficult to make a case against him. Expect him to earn a spot in the starting gate for the G1 Kentucky Derby (2000m) with victory here.

One of the more popular horses with the large media contingent trackside has been PANDAGATE for Christophe Clement. A son of Arrogate, he is a spitting image of the 2017 Dubai World Cup winner at the same age. Pandagate comes off a Listed win in the Gander Stakes (1600m) at Aqueduct and he's another who is crying out for this sort of trip.

Others with chances are G3 UAE 2000 Guineas (1600m) winner MENDELSSOHN BAY and consistent Japanese three-year-old GEORGE TESORO, but Forever Young and Pandagate are certainly the two to follow.

Selections: 5-12-6-10

Suggested Win Bet: #5 Forever Young

Suggested Place Bet: #12 Pandagate

Suggested Quinella Bet: #5 Forever Young and #12 Pandagate

Suggested Duet Bet: #12 Pandagate with #5 Forever Young, #6 George Tesoro and #10 Mendelssohn Bay

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #5 Forever Young and #12 Pandagate with #1 Auto Bahn, #6 George Tesoro, #10 Mendelssohn Bay

DUBAI GOLDEN SHAHEEN

Group 1, 1200m (dirt)

A top clash awaits between sprinters from the UAE, the United States and Japan.

This is a race that the Americans have dominated and it looks likely to be the case again with defending championSIBELIUS joined by G1 Breeders' Cup Sprint (1200m) placegetter NAKATOMI.

They went head to head last time out in the Listed Pelican Stakes (1200m) at Tampa Bay Downs with Sibelius getting first run while Nakatomi was back on the inside looking for gaps. There isn't a great deal between them and it might be worth backing Nakatomi here to turn the tables, giving Wesley Ward a first Dubai World Cup meeting success.

Sibelius, though, follows the same pathway as last year through the G3 Mr Prospector Stakes (1400m) at Gulfstream Park before the Pelican. He has won both races and will get his chance to join Caller One and Mind Your Biscuits as a two-time victor.

From Japan, IGNITER is the champion horse of the country's regional NAR circuit while DON FRANKIE is a hulking beast tipping the scales at 600kg. Both have good form back home, including defeats over potential favourite REMAKE, and both will be suited dropping back from the mile after midfield finishes in the G1 February Stakes (1600m).

Selections: 10-13-6-3

Suggested Win Bet: #10 Nakatomi

Suggested Place Bet: #6 Igniter

Suggested Quinella Bet: #10 Nakatomi with #3 Don Frankie, #6 Igniter, #13 Sibelius

Suggested Duet Bet: #6 Igniter with #3 Don Frankie, #10 Nakatomi, #13 Sibelius

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #10 Nakatomi with #3 Don Frankie, #6 Igniter, #11 Remake and #13 Sibelius

DUBAI TURF

Group 1, 1800m (turf)

Japan sends its strongest hand in years to the Dubai Turf, but it might be worth taking them on with an underestimated mare who continues to step up to the plate: NASHWA

She is not particularly a "punter's pal" having won only once since July 2022, being beaten four straight times as favourite. She was simply sublime in winning the G1 Falmouth Stakes (1600m) in July and she wasn't disgraced when beaten a half-length by Auguste Rodin and a length by Mostahdaf at Group 1 level later in the year.

The 1800m looks to be the trip at which she will excel, particularly on a fast track. The widest gate of all is a concern, but she is likely to take hold anyway and if so, she can rattle home to beat them all out.

Japanese stayer DO DEUCE somewhat surprisingly opts for the Dubai Turf over the Dubai Sheema Classic. A last-start winner of the G1 Arima Kinen (2500m), widely billed as Japan's championship race, he is also the second of only two horses to boast a victory over the 2023 world's best racehorse Equinox.

His gallop on Wednesday was sensational and, if he's sharp enough for 1800m, he's the one they all have to beat.

DANON BELUGA is interesting in that he wears blinkers for the first time in his bid to go one better in 2024. That could be the catalyst that allows him to make up three-quarters of a length this year.

Selections: 16-5-4-7

Suggested Win Bet: #16 Nashwa

Suggested Place Bet: #16 Nashwa

Suggested Quinella Bet: #16 Nashwa with #4 Danon Beluga, #5 Do Deuce

Suggested Duet Bet: #16 Nashwa with #4 Danon Beluga, #5 Do Deuce

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #4 Danon Beluga, #5 Do Deuce, #7 Lord North and #16 Nashwa

DUBAI SHEEMA CLASSIC

Group 1, 2400m (turf)

For months, this has been billed as a match race between LIBERTY ISLAND and AUGUSTE RODIN. It sounds enthralling in itself, but it more than just this clash of the titans, though, with 10 Group 1 winners amongst a field of 12 set to do battle over the 2400m.

Both of the big guns deserve plenty of respect and both are major chances, as their records indicate. However, this might be the race of the night for World Pool customers to look away from the pair.

Instead, it's worth having something on JUSTIN PALACE in this year's Sheema Classic. Winner of the G1 Tenno Sho Spring (3200m) in May last year, he then placed twice behind Equinox, including a slashing second in the G1 Tenno Sho Autumn (2000m) in which Equinox set a world record for a mile and a quarter.

He wobbled around Nakayama last time out when fourth as favourite in the G1 Arima Kinen (2500m), but he has done that before and getting to a spacy track like Meydan should suit. He has looked fabulous in the mornings and he is one who can take a big step forward in 2024.

Of the two big guns, Japan's Triple Tiara winner Liberty Island just gets the nod over Auguste Rodin but very little separates these two. Hopefully it is the first clash of an ongoing rivalry that will be healthy for the sport.

Selections: 2-12-9-10

Suggested Win Bet: #2 Justin Palace

Suggested Place Bet: #2 Justin Palace

Suggested Quinella Bet: #2 Justin Palace with #9 Auguste Rodin, #12 Liberty Island

Suggested Duet Bet: #2 Justin Palace with #9 Auguste Rodin, #12 Liberty Island

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #2 Justin Palace and #12 Liberty Island with #5 Shahryar, #9 Auguste Rodin, #10 Emily Upjohn, #11 Stars On Earth

DUBAI WORLD CUP

Group 1, 2000m (dirt)

A tactical World Cup that could throw up any number of stories and any number of winners.

There are massive stamina queries over LAUREL RIVER, who steps up to 2000m for the first time after a facile victory in the G3 Burj Nahaar (1600m). Whether he sees the trip out remains to be seen, but he will likely lead into the first turn from out wide and then it is about how Tadhg O'Shea is able to rate him in front. He has a high cruising speed and so O'Shea's best chance is to gradually up the tempo until he has slipped away from the field. If he can do that, he's certainly worth a chance.

KABIRKHAN marks the culmination of an incredible journey from his debut in Almaty, Kazakhstan to now becoming a live contender for the Dubai World Cup. He has done nothing wrong in two UAE starts to date, including taking the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge (2000m) in January. He should land in a perfect speed-trailing position and he has to be in the mix.

USHBA TESORO and DERMA SOTOGAKE return after wins on this card last year. Defending champion Ushba Tesoro has to be a contender after his G1 Saudi Cup (1800m) run, where he flew from well back and was just caught by Senor Buscador on the wire, while Derma Sotogake disappointed there but is likely to settle further forward and can bounce back.

Selections: 7-6-11-4

Suggested Win Bet: #7 Laurel River

Suggested Place Bet: #7 Laurel River

Suggested Quinella Bet: #7 Laurel River with #6 Kabirkhan, #11 Ushba Tesoro

Suggested Duet Bet: #7 Laurel River with #4 Derma Sotogake, #5 Dura Erede, #6 Kabirkhan, #11 Ushba Tesoro

Suggested Trifecta Bet: #4 Derma Sotogake, #5 Dura Erede, #6 Kabirkhan, #7 Laurel River, #11 Ushba Tesoro
