Sydney Specials: Randwick – 11th June 2022

We get back to headquarters on Saturday with the Listed Bob Charley Stakes the main highlight of the day.

The Bjorn Baker trained Night Of Power steps up in grade but looks very well treated down in the weights and is entitled to be a touch shorter in the seventh event.

A narrow winner two back, he simply got into a horrible spot last weekend when closing off well behind Mach Schnell.

Beaten under two lengths, he should be right at his peak fourth up and is sure to appreciate the step up to the mile.

Faces a different scenario on the map as he should be able to settle closer and with the speed on, he gets his chance to get home over the top.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he boasts the best last start figure and if able to improve further on the quick back up, he is clearly the one to beat.

The Mark Newnham trained Dragonstone has improved with every run this preparation and he gets his chance to break through in the feature.

Fresh off a 42 day break at Flemington last weekend, he closed off well down the straight and looks well placed on the quick back up.

The improving track is another tick and while likely to get back, there is good speed engaged with Mr Mosaic likely to take it up.

In a similar mold to Night Of Power he appears well placed when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings and the key scratching of Much Much Better further aids his chances.

Yet to win on his home track, but he has placed in three of four attempts and has placed in seven of eight attempts over this distance range.

Will need a touch of luck but with clear air he should be very strong late.
