Moodie's Contract Racing race Curtana (Exceed And Excel x Razor Blade, by Blazing Sword) and Kulgrinda (Exceed And Excel x River Crossing, by Bellotto).

Curtana was a decisive winner of the Listed Straight Six at Flemington while Kulgrinda landed the Listed Manihi Classic at Morphettville.

Curtana posted her second stakes win with Moodie yet to decide her future regarding racing or breeding next season.

The Manihi Classic was Kulgrinda's third success at Listed level among seven wins from 15 starts with two of her black type victories coming in Adelaide.

A half-sister to G2 winner Sunburnt Land, Curtana is out of Razor Blade, a stakes winner who has a 2011 colt by Medaglia d'Oro and visted Hard Spun last season.

Kulgrinda, who won 2010 Dermody Stakes in Adelaide, is out of the stakes performed Bellotto mare River Crossing, a half-sister to G1 winner River Dove.

Kulgrinda comes from the family of First Commands, a G2 winner of almost $800,000 in career earnings.

Exceed And Excel (Danehill) is the sire of nine southern hemisphere stakes winners this season, 47 in total and is entrenched in the top 10 on the General Sires' list by earnings.
