Smart sprinter Najoom has been retired and has been confirmed in foal to top sire I Am Invincible.
Najoom was a boom filly of the late autumn and winter carnivals with some devastating victories, highlighted by the Hawkesbury Guineas and Fred Best Classic, both at Group 3 level.
Najoom was one of the favourites for the Group 1 Tatts Tiara during the Queensland winter but was controversially made an emergency and failed to gain a run.
She was ruled out of a spring campaign due to injury and was subsequently retired.
Najoom won five of her seven starts and over $253,000 in prizemoney.
I Am Invincible has received a stellar book of broodmares this spring including Group 1 winner Secret Admirer, Commanding Jewel, Peggy Jean, Aloha and Hurtle Myrtle plus Black Caviar's half sister Bell Couture and Criterion relation Varenna Miss.
