Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Maidens in the opener with three of the eleven racing for the first time. One of those is set to be the favourite in the shape of (11) KING OF DRAGON, who came from off the pace to run 3rd in his trial in a quick time. The wide draw shouldn't matter and if he brings the trial form to the races, he may be hard to hold out. (4) CRAZY SHAH has shown signs of figuring things out with a 2nd and a 3rd from her latest two at 1200M and 1300M. She draws nicely here and should be in the mix again. (3) TIZ THE FASHION ran a fair 3rd on debut over this distance on May 5th working home well from off the pace. She was well beaten by a good winner, but her time was faster than any of the others here and improvement is possible. (6) BEATRIZ and (2) YEOGEOL BISANG others to consider.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) JERAQUEEN was a beaten favourite at this distance on April 21st when on pace but failing to see things out. She previously secured a front-running 2nd place, again at this distance, and in this company, she can be given another chance. (7) KNIGHT CHARM returned from five months out to run a close 3rd over 1400M on April 28th, leading for much of the way. He should strip fitter for that run, the drop back in trip can suit, and he should be close here. (5) HANGANG CAPTAIN did nothing in two starts last September and this January. He went through trials in two consecutive weeks in May, improving to win the latter in a quick time. He should be a different prospect this time around. (2) SINUI UNMYEONG and (10) P N S JU other placing chances.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies and mares only here. Like many in here, (3) HOMYEONG QUEEN can mix her form but going on her last start 3rd over 1300M, she has to be in with a chance. In a race devoid of early speed, she draws well to get to the front and can be in this a long way. (1) TOUCH CHARM returned from almost six months out to run 3rd at this class over 1300M on March 16th. She has had a further ten weeks off since then but comes into a better gate and can be a danger. (2) AL SIMON came from off the pace to run 3rd at class and distance on April 28th at big odds and only up 1kg in the weights, can be close again. (8) BRIGHT WINNER and (5) CHADOL RUN are among others in the frame in a tricky race.

Selections (3) Homyeong Queen (1) Touch Charm (2) Al Simon (8) Bright Winner

Seoul Race 4:  Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(3) RICH GATE is yet to win in eleven attempts but comes in off back-to-back runner-up finishes at this class over 1400M. The slight drop back in trip can suit, he draws well to be on pace and while he is up 2.5kg in the weights, today could be the day. Plenty of others enter with recent form reading well. (7) CHEONGUCHAT is another non-winner but has a 4th and a 3rd from two tries at this class, both over today's distance. He can sit just behind the early speed and be a danger late on. Continuing the non-winning theme, (2) SMART SOCKS has failed to score in twenty-one, but she too comes in looking well. She ran 2nd at class and distance on Mary 11th settling midfield and running on, and from a nice draw and under a light weight, she should be in this. (9) GREEN FEELSTAR and (1) WONDERFUL SHADOW, who both do have wins to their name, are others to consider.

Selections (3) Rich Gate (7) Cheonguchat (2) Smart Socks (9) Green Feelstar

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) RAON THE CLIPPER is yet to win but after getting a 3rd place at start number two in January, he has recorded three successive runner-up finishes, most recently at this class and distance on April 27th when beating a couple of today's rivals. He likes to race on pace or handy so he draws very well, and today can be his day. If he does manage to find one too quick again, the most likely candidate is (6) GEOLJAK EUTTEM. He got his maiden win under Harry Kasim on April 21st in a quick time at this class and distance. He comes up 3.5kg in the weights for his troubles, but he warrants respect (1) GHOST DRAGON is up in class following his maiden win over this distance on April 27th when on pace throughout. He will need to go quicker here but he draws nicely and with some more natural improvement, he can measure up. (8) STORM GUY and (7) TAEPYEONGMU others to consider for at least the minors.

Selections (4) Raon The Clipper (6) Geoljak Eutteum (1) Ghost Dragon (8) Storm Guy

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

He hasn't raced since landing his maiden win in January, but (9) SAHARAMOND is probably worthy of going on top here. He is up in class, but he looked very well when a close 2nd in a quick trial in April and while up in class, he is down in the weights and has little to fear in this field. (2) MAPARAM is probably the best of a limited rest. She has lots of experience at this level and going on her 2nd place at class and distance two starts back, has to be in the finish. (10) CHEONJI SKY returned from almost eight months out on April 21st and while she was down the field, her time for 1200M was good and she should have derived benefit from the run. (5) P N S CAR comes up in class having got his second runner-up finish on May 12th. It was over this distance, coming from off the pace and while in the absence of an apprentice claim, he actually comes up in weight, he can be competitive here. (4) MENI SHARK another to look out for.

Selections (9) Saharamond (2) Maparam (10) Cheonji Sky (5) P N S Car

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) BRIGHT HANSEN won his first three starts up to this class and distance before coming unstuck in a valuable trophy race on April 14th when he led over 1200M but ultimately ran 6th. He had to contend with gate thirteen that day, so while he is up 4kg in the weights, he should have an easier run to the front, and he can return to winning ways. (1) HANGANG POWER comes in having beaten a couple of these on his way to 2nd place over 1300M on what was his first try at this class on April 28th. He has won at this distance and can be a danger here. (2) DONGJIN BULPAE had a hard time in the same trophy race as Bright Hansen but had similarly entered that having completed a hat-trick in his three previous outings. He comes up to the 1400M for the first time and it can suit. (7) NICE TAEYANG and (4) RAON EMPIRE among others in the hunt

Selections (5) Bright Hansen (1) Hangang Power (2) Dongjin Bulpae (7) Nice Taeyang

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) MIGHTY SSEN comes in off back-to-back 3rd place finishes at class and distance both times having raced on pace. He has won at this trip and from a great draw and under a light weight, he can return to winning ways today. It's been a while between drinks for (9) POWERFUL HWASEONG, but he has been getting closer again in recent outings, most recently when 3rd in a very quick race at class and distance on April 20th. In this small field the widest gate shouldn't be a problem, and he has a good finish on him. (6) NICE BIG GIRL enters having been a much-improved 2nd at this class over 1400M on April 27th and under a light weight, she can continue that momentum here. Debut-maker (4) SOCKS KING, along with (5) SEONGSIL DAERO are others to consider.

Selections (1) Mighty Ssen (9) Powerful Hwaseong (6) Nice Big Girl (4) Socks King

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(9) YEONGUNG BUHWAL won back-to-back races in very fast times over this distance in December and January, with one of them being at this class. He comes in having been beaten into 2nd as favourite in his latest on May 10th when stepped up to 1400M. He comes up in the weights but is back in trip and can return to winning ways. It's been seventeen starts since his most recent win, but (4) TOUGH MAN enters with recent form reading well in the shape of two consecutive runner-up finishes at this class and distance. He likes to come from off the pace and should be doing his best work late again. (7) THUNDER DREAM got his maiden win at start number two over 1300M back last November. He didn't reappear until April 24th when he tackled this class for the first time, and he came from off the pace to beat a few of today's rivals on his way to 3rd in a quick race at this distance. He should strip fitter and can be a danger. (3) RAON THE HIGHMAN and (8) YEONGWON FIGHRER are other placing chances.

Selections (9) Yeongung Buhwal (4) Tough Man (7) Thunder Dream (3) Raon The Highman

Seoul Race 10: Class 7 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) LUCKY PARTY has never finished outside the top-four, albeit with five of his nine starts ending in 3rd place. He stepped up to two turns for the first time on April 4th. Running a solid 4th over 1800M and under a light weight and with CC remaining aboard, he can come out on top here. The danger is (9) GUKDAE FIGHTER. A winner over 1400M two starts back he recorded his worst finish to date on April 27th when 5th over that same trip on his first try at this class having led for much of the way. He comes up in trip for the first time and should be on pace and this a long way again. The other contenders are imports who, having begun at this class, have less form. (3) NANO MASIN will need his latest start over 1400M overlooked but going on his close 4th two starts back at a mile, can be considered. (5) MAKING STORY and (2) MUHAN ARGO are the other two likely to be in the market.

Selections (6) Lucky Party (9) Gukdae Fighter (3) Nano Masin (5) Making Story

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(3) E-DANAEUN is in very good form and comes up in class having led every step of the way to win over this distance on April 6th. He comes down 5kg in the weights, he draws well to lead again, and he can repeat. Similarly up in class is (2) POWER GUNJU, who enters having scored over a mile in a quick time on April 20th. He is a winner of three from six, including over this distance under a light weight, he will surely be in the mix again. (5) RAON THE ARIA stepped up to this distance for the first time on April 14th and ran a very good 3rd place in a valuable trophy race. She carries her fair share of weight here but should be competitive again. (8) MUSTANG POWER, who beat E-Danaeun when winning two starts back, and (1) GRAY CAT are among others with placing chances.

Selections (3) E-Danaeun (2) Power Gunju (5) Raon The Aria (8) Mustang Power
