Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Three-year-old maiden fillies in the opener. There will be a hot favourite in the shape of (5) RAON THE PEARL. She ran 4th on debut at 1000M in October before stepping up to this distance at start number two on January 16th and finishing a strong 2nd when handy throughout. She'll be on pace or handy again here and should take some beating. There are two debut-makers and of them, (4) GREEN DRAGON could go well. She worked home well in her trial in a fair time and from a could draw can put in a bold showing. (6) GIPPEUM HWANHUI improved to 3rd at her second start on January 23rd and she can continue her positive trajectory here. (1) HERA BLADE and (9) CITY CHARM others in the placing frame.                                                                                                  

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Small field here and (4) FLYING ATHENA is the one to beat. After back-to-back 6th place finishes from her first two outings, she was a much-improved 2nd at start number three over 1300M on January 30th when handy and running on. She won't need to improve much on that to win here. (2) ORGALIM has the best time among these at the distance, recorded three starts about when 2nd in early December. From a nice draw, expect him to be on pace here and to be in this a long way. (1) WILD SOCKS was beaten by Orgalim on their respective latest starts, but he draws much better today and should be a stiffer prospect. There are two debut makers and (6) GLOBAL CASTLE looks best placed to make an immediate impact while (3) TOUCH NINE is another in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Small but competitive field here. (6) BLACK ROOKIE comes back in trip following recent efforts at 1400M. She also comes down considerably in the weights. She has run fast times at 1300M, and this looks a suitable assignment today. (3) CHAMPION GAMUN comes up in class following a maiden win at start number eleven on January 23rd. It didn't exactly come out of nothing, but it did mark a big uptick in form, and he draws well with a repeat not entirely out of the question. (7) VIENTO made all to win over this distance at class 6 level in December. Draw a line through her first effort at today's trip when she was unable to settle from gate thirteen and she is worth another chance today. (4) ECTON JILJU and (8) WONDERFUL STORM other minor money prospects.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Big field. (2) JAY TROSS looks the one to beat having finished no worse than 4th in four outings to date. Her win came over 1000M when she made all at class 6 level but at her latest outings, she came from off the pace to run a very close 2nd at 1200M. The extended trip today can suit. (13) K N UNDERKING has a 2nd and a 6th in two starts at this class since getting his maiden win last October. His running style is to settle back and run on so the wide gate shouldn't be too disadvantageous. (8) JANGSAN POISON comes up in class following his maiden win at start number three when making all at this distance in a fair time on January 29th. That was the first time he had led as he does have a decent finish on him as well and he should measure up in this company.  (4) SOUJU and (12) ICE STAR are others who can enter the calculations.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

Fillies and mares only here and plenty of them too. (10) CUPID JUMBO races for the first time since getting her maiden win at start number two over 1200M on Christmas Day. She is up in class and up in trip here but looked well enough when trailing up from a wide draw at the end of January. She can win again. (11) WONDERFUL SHADOW comes up in class and distance too following her own maiden win which came when she made all over 1000M on January 23rd. She might not get such an easy lead today but can be considered again here. (5) QUEEN OF BEST has the fastest time among those who have tackled the distance before. She comes up in weight today but that's softened a little buy a better draw and she can be competitive. (8) SOEWAKKOT and (3) K N MENIQUEEN among others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

He draws wide but (12) WILDLY ROMANTIC will be favoured to get back to winning ways here. He is two starts into a comeback following a few months off and has registered a 3rd and a 4th. He comes down slightly in the weights, Moon Se-young is booked to return to the ride, and he could be peaking here. (4) FOREVER DREAM won back-to-back races in November and December to get rapidly promoted to this class. He finished back in midfield on his first try at this level over 1400M on January 29th but back in trip here looks to have decent claims. (2) BEST TIME doesn't exactly win out of turn but consistently goes close. She gets her best draw for some time and while she may find one too quick as usual, she surely finds the money again. (3) HAWK HAENGJINGOK and (6) CHUNJI GWANGPUNG are among others who can enter the calculations.

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

(5) SOBERANIA races for the first time in three months, when she was led but didn't finish things off and ultimately finished back in 7thplace over 1300M on her first try at this class on December 5th. She comes back in trip today and looks worth another chance. (13) GEUMA FLAWLESS is another who needs his latest effort forgiven. That was over 1700M, and today's assignment looks more suitable. He is yet to win in fifteen attempts but has nine top-five finishes to his name and he should be competitive again today. (14) RAON THE GOLD continues the pattern of disappointing last starts. It has been two in a row now and she gets absolutely favours from the draw again, but her debut race showed ability and Moon Se-young remains aboard. (3) THUNDER CHAMP and (4) OLD START are among others with placing claims. 

Seoul Race 8: Class 5 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

We'll take a chance on (1) SAENAE HWANGJE who is yet to breakthrough but has really taken to 1700M, recording back-to-back victories to get promoted to this level. He draws well here and there is nothing too intimidating in this field, so he has every chance. The probable favourite is (5) SPEAR GUN. Also a maiden, he does have plenty of experience of being competitive at this level and ran well for 4th when stepped up to this distance last time. (2) MILKY SHERRY gets a class drop here and wile it does put her weight up, it should make her competitive.  She has fourteen top-five finishes to her name and draws nicely here. (4) JIGEUMYEOGIE and in this company, (9) ROYAL HAMSEONG are others who can go close.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1700M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

(9) CHAMJOEUN CHINGU gets another chance here. She won back-to-back races over 1200M and 1300M to get promoted to this class but pulled up slightly lame and with a speedy cut after an underwhelming first class 4 outing over 1300M on January 23rd. She comes up in trip here, should be on pace or handy, and can return to winning ways. Logical second pick is (11) K N WONDERFUL. After three-consecutive runner-up finishes, he was a class and distance winner at his last start in November when beating a few of these. He has been off sixteen weeks since and does come up in weight and draw wide, but he should be in this a long way again. (5) CHOIN GANGJA hasn't quite kicked on rom his early potential, but he has placed at class and distance and should be in the frame again. (1) WONDERFUL DEVIL won her only previous start at 1700M last November. She has since run creditably twice over 1800M and will be coming home strong here. (10) SPEED BELLE the best of the rest.
