There is a very good raider from Hong Kong – Victor The Winner, who Is Aussie bred and has been very consistent in Hong Kong.  His owner has business contacts in Japan and was very enthusiastic about bringing the horse to race in Japan.

And at present the Morning Line seems to like his chances, putting him in as favourite on 2.1.  These prices may change between now and Sunday afternoon but this is the present state of play.  Second favourite is the up and coming Toshin Macau, who will be ridden by Christophe Lemaire and is on 5.2.

A couple out a bit wider but with excellent chances and should be shorter are Mama Cocha, who won the other big sprint and was sprinter of the year for 2023.  Kawada rides and 16.0 seems very generous.  And Namura Clair who is out on 57.7 – we suggest watch the betting.

On Saturday the G2 Nikko Sho will be run at Nakayama over 2500m.  Boccherini seems the obvious choice here and he's on 2.1.  We liked a recent run of Chrominance and Tosaki rides and he's on 10.8 and there is obviously some support for Struvel as he's on 4.6.
