The necropsy has been unable to ascertain a precise cause of death.
The most probable cause of death is cardiac failure but there is nothing that can be found that caused this. The presence of omeprazole and Lasix were identified by the attending vet and verified in the necropsy but these were unremarkable.
The report has still to be reviewed by the California Horse Racing Board's steward Alina Vale.
On a happier note the Eclipse Awards crowned Knicks Go as Horse of the Year and top 4yo.
Godlphin got some good notes here and the Japanese result in the Breeders' Cup was selected as the "moment of the year" with Loves Only You being named Champion turf filly.
