Thursday sees the start of the Newmarket July meeting on the July course.

Thursday's card has 3 Group 3 races with very small fields however they could be interesting for future activities.

The first is the G3 Bahrain Trophy for the 3yos over 2600m and of the six runners there doesn't seem much difference between the top two in the market – Godolphin's Walk Of Stars by Dubawi (Appley-Buick) and Zechariah, by Nathanial, Freddy and Martin Meade train and Ryan Moore has been booked for the ride.  Both are on 3/1.

The G2 July Stakes is over the 1200m for the 2yos and there are 8 down to run.  Again not a great deal between Persian Force, a son of Mehmas with Richard Hannon and Rossa Ryan riding on 3/2 and Little Big Bear, a son of No Nay Never with Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore up, on 13/8.  Both have raced 3 times for 2 wins and 1 second.

The Princess of Wales's Stakes is G2 over 2400m and back to a field of 6.  Looks very much as if it is between Mustahdaf with Jim Crowley riding the Shadwell horse for the Gosdens and Yibir, who seems to be shuttling between the US and the UK, on 11/8, for Appleby-Buick.
