Starting with the good news which came out of Hoppegarten.

Rebel's Romance won the Grosser Preis von Berlin G1 by a neck from Nerek with James Doyle on the winner for Charlie Appleby and Ardarkan took third.  Alter Adler was 4th.

At Deauville Godolphin's Coroebus faded in the finish stages while the finish was fought out between Inspiral, the winner, Light Infantry 23/1 and Erevan 10/1 with only a neck separating all three horses.  Order of Australia finished fourth.

Wally won the Prix Gontaut-Biron for the second year running while last year's second Monty was back a place this time in third.  Majestic Dawn 4/1 was the meat in that sandwich.

The first race the Prix Circus Maximus François Boutin was a better result for Godolphin with Mysterious Night winning from  second favourite Bolshkinov by ½ length.

And they had a good result too in the Prix Minerve with Eternal Pearl winning from Queen Trezy 12/1 by 2 lengths and Sea The Sky 21/1 third.
