With the closure of Arlington two important races are now at Churchill Downs.

They are the Beverly D for the girls Gr1 over 1800m and the Gr 1Arlington Million over the same trip and both on turf.

The Beverly D only has 5 runners and at present the market is topped by Lily Pond and Rougir.

The Arlington Million usually attracts some internationals but not this time.  Set Piece is on 5/2 Cox-Geroux and Santin for Walsh-Gaffard is on 3/1 together with Smooth Like Straight for McCarthy-Velazquez.

At Saratoga the Fourstardave is Gr 1 over 1600m with 5 runners and here Chad Brown seems to have the race in his pocket with Regal Glory on evens and Masen on 9/4.

Del Mar sees the running of the Yellow Ribbon Gr 2 for the girls over 1700m on the turf and d'Amato's Going Global is odds on.  There are 7 runners and the next three are all on 4/1 so we will go with Park Avenue for Sadler-Espinoza.

The G2 Sorrento is for 2yo fillies with 6 to run the 1200m.   Procrastination is beautifully names as she's out of Not This Time and is on 8/5 for McCarthy-Gonzalez, and Doug O'Neill's Absolute Zero is on 9/5 with Gutierrez riding the daughter of Nyquist.
