The Sha Tin Sprint Cup and the Chairman's Trophy are the two races with G2 tags.

The Sha Tin Sprint Cup is Race 8 on the card, is over 1200m and has 7 runners.  It looks very much a match race between Lucky Sweynesse and Wellington, with the former odds-on at 1.3 for Man-Purton and the latter 6.1 for Gibson-Badel.  Lucky Sweynesse carried the momentum of recent good runs and therefore has the odds-on favourite tag, but Wellington likes this trip and who knows – certainly value on 6.1.

The Chairman's Trophy is Race 9 over 1600m with 8 runners.  There is another odds-on favourite here in California Spangles who is stepping up in trip with the view to going to the Mile on Champions' Day.  The stablemate Beauty Joy is on 7.6 with Zac Purton and Mat Chadwick the respective jockeys.  We think there could be value here in the John Size trained Running Glory on 14.0 with Luke Currie in the irons.

It has been a bit wet in Hong Kong during the week and the track could be affected but the forecast is for fine and cool so it should not impact actual racing too much.
