Much to the delight of his jockey Takeshi Yokoyama!

The Nakayama track was a bit cut up after Saturday's rain which meant that some of the horses on the rail side did not get the best of runs.

Soi Oriens, a son of Kitasan Black, settled towards the rear and was able to choose the better part of the track by coming wide and at the 100m firing the after-burners and getting round the field to win going away.

Tastieri was second on 9.0 and third went to Metal Speed at 107.2 which would certainly earn him the appellation of a "roughie".

We are not too concerned by the results for some of the fancied runners because of where they found themselves on the track.
