Well the rain came to Newmarket yesterday and caused many problems.

The 3yo fillies go today and there has been much talk about Dermot Weld sending Tahiyra over to England when he normally prefers the Irish version and he's already stated he would like to have two more weeks. 

As with all these runners we have to take their ability to handle the going on trust and watch the market very carefully.  There may be scratchings too.  As things stand, we like Meditate to turn the tables on Tahiyra and she's 6/1 as opposed to Tahiyra's 13/8. 

Also on 6/1 is Beckett's Remarquee, something of a new kid on the block but she is improving with each run.  A very rough roughie is Fairy Cross with James Doyle riding the second of Appleby's pair.

The first race is the Gordon Richards G3 which was transferred from the cancelled Sandown meeting.  There's only 6 runners and the obvious pick is Adayer Appleby-Buick 6/5 and the threat could come from Anmaat Beckett-Crowley on 11/4.
