The G1 race over the Fuchu course went to the Duramente colt Champagne Colour on 22.0.

Second was out filly tip Umbrail who tried very hard but just failed to haul in the winner and she had started on 19.9.  Third home was Obamburuman who put in a great finish but could not catch the first two.

The track was OK but it was raining and the uphill in the home straight as usual caught out several horses including Damien Lane's Carro Veloce who finished 5th.

On Saturday in Kyoto things went a little more to script when Satono Glanz won from Danon Tornado with Libyan Glass the third.
