Starting off with the Queen Mary where there was a thrilling finish.
And the win went to the American raider Crimson Advocate, a Nyquist product trained by George Weaver and ridden by John Velzquez by a nose from Relief Rally. Beautiful Diamond was third.
The Duke of Cambridge was a win for the 10/1 shot Rogue Millenium, a big win for trainer Tom Clover with Dan Tudhope riding. Then there was the 22/1 shot Random Harvest for Ed Walker and Saffie Osborne with Prosperous Voyage in third the only one of the single-figure runners. Jumbly was fourth but that's just for the record.
The Wow of the day came in the Prince of Wales's Stakes when Mostahdaf sliced through the field like the proverbial knife through butter and stormed away from the very highly credited field to win by 4 lengths. Luxembourg and Adayer were made to look flat-footed in his wake. Sheika Hissa and John Gosden will now confer and it could be that York is the next destination.
