There is a late start to racing this Sunday.

It's going to be hot and very humid so not very pleasant for the horses.

Race 3 is the first of the G3s, the Premier Handicap over 1400m with just 6 runners.  John Size holds the high cards with Beauty Eternal under Zac Purton going after a follow-up G3 win after winning the Lion Rock.  They are odds-on on 1.3 so this is not a good betting race.  Stablemate Red Lion is continuing his progress through the grades and has responded positively to all questions so far – Alexis Badel rides and they are on 5.9.

Race 7 is the other G3, the Premier Plate over 1800m with 8 starters so a better betting proposition.  We are sticking with Tuchel who has been working well and it's another Size-Purton race with the current quote 1.8.  Tourbillon Diamond has been racing in much harder races so we like his chances and his price of 12.0 for Shum-Ho.  And we will give The Best Peach another chance of redemption here – on 6.1 for Cruz-Badel.
