3 minute read

Started off on Saturday in Saint Cloud.

The Grand Prix de Saint Cloud went to the short-priced favourite Westover who had won this race last year in race record time.  Ralph Beckett and Rob Hornby the responsible parties.  Second home was Zagrey and third Junko.  Tünnes put on one of his shows and went right out to the far side coming round one of the turns was out of the running after that.

Also at Saint Cloud the Prix Eugène Adam went to Cottier's Horizon Dore with second home Maniatic and then Bold Act took home the third prize money.

On Sunday it was over to Deauville for the Prix Jean Prat and Good Guess, a 25/1 chance came home with a great finish under hands and heels riding by Stephane Pasquier to overtake the long time leader our roughie Sauterne who finished a creditable second and then there was quite a gap back to the rest of the field led by Breizh Sky.
