A 2yo and a 3yo have emerged from Saturday's races with much excitement.
The 2yo is the O'Brien City of Troy who won the Superlative Stakes in superlative fashion storming up the hill to win by 6 ½ lengths. He's by Justify and had won his maiden by 2 ½ lengths so he is now a short priced favourite for next years Guineas. Hattam ran second and third went to Oddyssey 33/1.
The July Cup saw the other exciting runner Shaquille win his 6th consecutive in the July Cup by 1 ½ lengths from Run To Freedom 28/1 and third home was Kinross who got pushed out of the favourite spot by post time in favour of the winner.
