Berlin on Sunday

3 minute read

It was the 133rd running of the Grosser Preis von Berlin at Hoppegarten.

It seems as if the 2400m G1 has been at the mercy of raiders recently and this time it was a French raider, Simca Mille, who stormed home to demolish the rest of the field.  Simca Mille has gone from strength to strength in recent racing and one could think that they went to Japan a year too soon.

New London led for most of the race but ran out of gas probably as it was only his second run this prep.  Sisfahan tried gamely to catch the winner but could only manage second and Assistant was third.
