The Del Mar Oaks is the highlight of the West Coast track's Saturday card.

It's Gr 1 on turf over 1800m and here one of our favourite tipples Anisette is favourite on 5/2 with Umberto Rispoli riding.  Impact Warrior is on 4/1 together with Be Your Best and we have a roughie here in And Tell Me Nolies on 12/1.

At Saratoga there's the Lake Placid Gr 2 and the Alabama Gr 1.

The Lake Placid is for 3yo fillies over 1700m on the inner turf track which has a maximum capacity of 8 runners.  Chad Brown has several runners including the odds-on favourite Undervalued Asset who is one of the "also eligible".  As he has declared Irad Ortiz the jockey both on that horse and Prerequisite it seems that he may scratch Prerequisite in favour of Undervalued Asset. 

As it stands Surge Capacity is on 3/1, Aspray on 7/2 and not a Brown runner Glorious Princess on 9/2 for Walsh-Saez.

The Alabama is also for 3yo fillies and is on the "main" (dirt) track with Wet Paint 2/1 for Cox-Prat.  She looks like a special filly – by Blame.  Randomized is 9/2 and Julia Shining 5/1.
