Two G2s and two G1s make for an exciting card at Deauville.

Unfortunately the track has been classed as "Heavy" after a cloud burst on Friday morning and as it has been warm since it is likely to be "tacky heavy" and not to the liking of all the horses.

The Prix Alec Head is G2 for 3yo fillies over 2000m with 5 participants headed by Jannah Rose on 5/4 for Carlos Laffon Parias and Soumillon.  Next best is the Fabre trained Pensée du Jour with Maxime Guyon riding.

The Prix Morny is going to be very interesting,  It's G1 for the 2yos (colts and fillies no geldings) and Aidan O'Brien has issued a caution that River Tiber had missed some work.  In any case we prefer the local here Ramamutuelle, a Justify filly with Chris Head and Lemaitre riding – she has the fillies weight advantage which may be very useful although the trip is only 1200m.  She won the Papin too!  River Tiber won at Royal Ascot  and as usual Ryan Moore to ride the son of Wooton Basset.  Looking a bit wider in the field of 9 Adrian Murray's Valiant Force could be value on 13/2 with Kevin Stott riding.

The Prix Jean Rominet is also G1 for f&m over 2000m with 8 starters.  Via Sistina is a wonderful girl and comes in to this on 11/10 for Boughey-Spencer.  Mqse de Sévigne has been improving with every run and is on 5/1 for Fabre-Pouchin.  Raider Above the Curve has also been racing well and is 7/2 – Jospeh O'Brien with Ryan Moore riding.

The Prix Kergolay is G2 over 3000m and has 8 runners.  Andre Fabre's Sober has been steadily moving up the ranks and comes in to this on 9/4 with Guyon riding.  The Good Man is on 11/4 for Stephane Wattel with a new name to us in the jockey ranks – Morgan Delande.

Seems he has been riding in France since the beginning of the month but we don't know where he has sprung from. Measure of Time is our third pick on 15/2 for Fabre-Pouchin.
