This weekend sees the two big festivals bring their seasons to an end.

At Del Mar on Saturday we have the Del Mar Mile Gr 2 and the Pacific Classic Gr 1.

The Mile has 10 runners with the Morning Line showing Exaulted on top at 3/1 for Peter Eurton and J J Hernandez.  Baffert's De Jour is on 4/1 and the same quote given for d'Amato's Count Again with Umberto Rispoli back from Japan on board.

The Pacific Classic  is over 2000m and has 11 starters with Geaux Rocket Ride attempting to emulate his sire Candy Ride in this and he's currently on 5/2 with Mike Smith riding for Richard Mandella.  Baffert's Arabian Knight is on 3/1 and Defunded whose name generally describes those who bet on him is on 4/1.

The Japan Racing Association Del Mar Handicap is Gr 2 over 2200m turf with 11 starters.  Gold Phoenix is 3/1 for d'Amato – Hernandez. The Brazilian-bred Planetario 4/1 and Offlee Naughty 5/1 have faced each other before and the score stands at 1-all.  We like both of them.

Saratoga hoses the 2 Gr2s the Flower Bowl and the Prioress, and the Jockey Club Gold Cup which is Gr 1.

Both the Gr2s have very small fields – the Flower Bowl with only 4 runners looks like being between McKulick, the odds-on favourite, and Amazing Grace 7/5.

The Prioress sees 5 runners with Alva Starr on 2/1 but we prefer Jersey Pearl 3/1.

The Jockey Club Gold Cup is over 2000m and has at least got 8 starters.  Rattle B Roll is on 9/5 for McPeak- Brian Hernandez, Proxy is 2/1 and Tyson 5/1.
