Baffert's Arabian Knight under last year's winning jockey Flavian Prat gave Baffert his 7th win in the race.

It was Arabian Knight's turn to get the better of Geaux Rocket Ride with Slow Down Andy 11/1 third home.

Earlier the Del Mar Mile saw another Baffert pupil Du Jour beat Exalted with Visitant 22/1 third.

The Del Mar Handicap saw Gold Phoenix continue his good form with Nineeleventurbo 14/1 second and Cash Equity 10/1 third.

At Saratoga the feature was the Jockey Club Gold Cup and here Javier Castellano steered Pletcher's Bright Future into the winners circle after a torrid battle with Proxy and the final margin being a nose.  Tyson was the third home and Rattle and Roll failed to either Rattle or Roll.

Earlier the Flower Bowl went to Parnac 8/1 for Christophe Clement and Dylan Davis with McKulick second and Amazing Grace third.

The Prioress went according to script with Alva Starr winning from Jersey Pearl.

On Sunday the Spinaway Gr 1 went to Brightwork 3/1 for J A Ortiz with Irad Ortiz riding.

The defeated the hot odds-on favourite Ways And Means with Wonder Ride 32/1 third.
