Trained by Yann Barberot and given a top ride by Christophe Soumillon he's been sbortened for the Arc with the winner of this race winning the Arc a couple of times. Mr Hollywood had been prominent through most of the race, which was very slow in the early part, but Soumillon got the split and the win, with Straight running straight down the middle of the track for third.

Fantastic Moon was scratched an hour before the start owing to the firm track.

Earlier Calif won the Brunner-Oettigen with Rene Pietcheluk riding for Peter Schiergen with raider Brave Emperor running second and Aguirre third.

On Saturday the Aga Khan's Darkinya won the Zastrow Stutenpreis from Kolossal and North Reliance.
