As usual it was the Japanese runners who took home most of the prize money.  Firstly in the Sprint with Remake won from the local Beomaui Star 48/1 with fellow Japanese runner Bathrat Leon third.  Hong Kong raider Duke Wai made a valiant effort and just failed to make the frame finishing fourth.  Remake set a new track record in the race.

The Korea Cup saw a Japanese quinella with Crown Pride 3/1 heading Gloria Mundi and the local Winner's Man third.  Hong Kong's Apache Pass weakened towards the end.
