Two good G2s in Japan this weekend

3 minute read

As the temperatures go down the racing hots up.

Sunday's highlight is at Hanshin – The Kansai TV Co. Ltd. Sho Rose Stakes over 1800m for 3yo fillies,

Christophe Lemaire will be on the favourite Brede Way. She's beautifully bred by Lord Kanaloa out of a Deep Impact mare and is on 2.8.  Then comes Be Dazzling by Heart's Cry with Yutaka Take riding and a 5.4 quote.  Not far away is Ravel, with Yahagi-sensei's stable jockey Sakai on board and they are on 6.0 – she's by Kitasan Black.  And Conch Shell on 7.0 is by Kizuna with Joao Moreira riding.

Monday the action returns to Nakayama for the Asahi Hai St. Lite Kinen over 2200m for 3yos.  Soi Oriens is the odds-on favourite here with Takashi Yokoyama riding the son of Kitasan Black.  Moreira is on Lebensstil, by Real Steel, and they are on 3.7.  Then we have to move to double figures for Dura Erede with Sakai riding and an 11.1 quote and Shazzan with M. Iwata, the recent winner of the World All Star Jockeys Championship, riding the 14.0 chance.
