Sone names to watch in Dubai

3 minute read

After last Friday's meeting some horses to keep an eye on emerged.

Starting off with the winner of the Dubawi Stakes over1200m on the dirt Tuz who is with Bhupat Seemar and was an impressive winner having overcoming a wide draw and then ed most of the way. He's much above the level of the rest of the field with 16/1 shot Leading Spirit second and Colour Up third.

San Donato was another who had to overcome a wide draw to win the Zabeel Mile.  He and jockey Pat Dobbs made the most of a gap on the rails and he was able to overtake Marbaan who ran well for second.  The Uruguayan El Patriota came third at 40/1 and he won't be that price in future!

The Guineas Trial for the boys went, as expected, to the Appleby-Buick runner Legend of Time who looked like he would appreciate the step up to the 1600m.  Shamrock Glitter was second and Athan 18/1 third.

In the girl's trial Ma Yetal underscored her big win at Jebel Ali with a nice win here although this was harder as she was pushed all the way by the Uruguayan Quartier.  Military Artist was third.
