The very consistent Isle of Jura won the HH Sheik Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup.

It was a local G1 race over 2200m with 7 runners and while it was thought to be between the winner and Lucander, Fawzi Nass's Panning for Gold stuck his head in the way and took second.

Earlier Pure Dreamer won the HH Sheika Sheema bint Nasser bin Hammad al Khalifa Cup – a local G2 – with Harry Davies riding for Allan Smith.  They were followed home by Wowzer and stablemate Bussento.
