It wasn't easy for Helios and Hugh Bowman as the pace was muddling and they had to make a break for it and hope for the best in the concluding stages, finally getting the lead from runner-up Chancheng Glory (50/1) in the last stride.  John Size won his 5th Classic Cup and Helios Express has now won 6 from 8 in Hong Kong.  Size's other runner Ensued got third and was a victim of the traffic jams due to the lack of pace in the race.

Nervous Witness finally got his act together and won the Class 2 over 1000m from Invincible Sage and Carroll Street.  Galaxy Patch showed that he isn't really a 1000m horse and we will see if he runs 1400m next weekend.
