Highlights are the Gulfstream Park Oaks and the Florida Derby.

The fillies go round in the Gr 2 Oaks and the market is led by Chad Brown's Ways And Means , a daughter of Practical Joke, with Irad Ortiz riding and they are on 8/5.  After that it is quite open with Gun Song, by Gun Runner, on 4/1 and Into Champagne, by Into Mischief, on 5/1.

The boys have to travel an extra 100m in the Gr 1 Florida Derby.  The market has three runners at single figures – Fierceness, by City of Light, who is with Todd Pletcher and on 8/5 with John Velazquez riding.  Conquest Warrior, also by City of Light, is on 3/1 and Hades, by Awesome Slew, is on 7/2.

It's about time that the fillies and colts races were both over the same trip and at the same grade.  These days the girls are just as strong as the boys and often faster!
