Irish racing this weekend – maybe.

3 minute read

With going already heavy and more rain expected there will be an inspection at the Curragh on Saturday morning.

And we can probably expect the same for Leopardstown on Sunday.  It looks like being a wet weekend and the ground may even get that Irish tag of "bottomless" so on the presumption that things do go ahead here's the run down on the 4 G3s.

The first of the G3s is at the Curragh on Saturday – the Alleged Stakes over 2000m.  White Birch has been doing very well for Twomey-Lee and is on top here at 11/4.  Not much difference in the following runners so we have selected Lafayette 4/1 Meade-Keane and Village Voice – Jessica Harrington – Shane Foley on 5/1.

Sunday has the two 3yo trials over 1400m – the first for the boys is the Red Rocks where Atlantic Coast is on 4/1 for JP O'Brien – McMonagle – he's by Kodiac and father Aidan saddles two No Nay Never colts in Battle Cry 9/2 and Samuel Colt 5/1.

The girls run in the Priory Belle where A Lilac Roila, an unbeaten daughter of Harry Angel, is on 9/2 for Twomey-Lee.  Buttons is on the same quote for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore with the Kingman filly.  Kitty Rose is on 11/2 for Natalia Lupini and Seamie Heffernan – she's by Invincible Army and a Choisir dam.
