Winning Time: 1:36.01 Last 600m: NA

Margins: Long Neck x Half Head

Winning Trainer: Peter & Paul Snowden (Paul speaking)

On their Brisbane carnival success: "It's certainly been pretty good. All the hard work culminates in days like today so it's very special."

On receiving the filly from Perth: "Justin Warwick called up out of the blue. We took another horse he had in Perth and set it up in Victoria and had some good success. It stemmed from there really.

"He said 'this filly has just won the Magic Millions over here, we think she's pretty good, we want you to take her.'

"(Justin) is here today, which is great, so full credit to him. We're just the benefactors of that."

On the filly: "She's always been tough and resilient at home, she cops the work. Everything about her suggested she is going to get to that really good level and here we are today.

"We'll get her out and give her a break on Monday but she's got a really good spring ahead of her now."

Winning Jockey: William Pike

Beaten Jockeys

Jamie Kah (Brereton): "Just didn't see the trip out."

Kerrin Mcevoy (Twin Stars): "He ran a good race there, we were able to get him out of the stalls into a better position today. He had blinkers on and he reacted well to those. The trip was fine, I just think he might have felt that ground out there today."

Luke Tarrant (Cocobrew Express): "Super gutsy run. Obviously had to spend quite a bit from that alley. Gutsy and tried all the way through the line."

James Mcdonald (Political Debate): "Disappointing to run second. He went unbelievable, he's a beautiful horse who will be a really good horse in the spring and autumn. He just lost it at the start. He jumped well but just didn't muster for the first 50 metres and the last place we wanted to be was back where we were. He sliced through beautifully, we got a lovely run through and he attacked the line really well the last furlong, furlong and a half. It was a brilliant run."

Ben Thompson (Mishani Spartan): "He actually wasn't a bad run for a longshot. I followed Political Debate off a good speed, just probably didn't have the same turn of foot as him, but he might be a nice horse over a bit further as a three-year-old."

Brenton Avdulla (Brosnan): "He ran really well. He's come a long way in a short space of time and had quite a long prep, so for him to be Group 1-placed within half-a-length of them, he's done a good job."

Nash Rawiller (Green Shadows): "Just raced like he's had enough. He was quite upset before the race and never travelled in the run, he was very keen."

Mark Du Plessis (Heroic Son): "Everything was against him today with the barrier and so on, but when you dissect that race, he's gone very well for a horse going forward to the future."

Keagan Latham (Owen County): "He's going to be a lovely horse next prep. He was just a bit up against it from that bad draw and I expected them to go a bit quicker today to bring me into it but unfortunately they didn't. He's going to go for a break now and he'll be a nice horse as a three-year-old."

Hugh Bowman (Sharp 'N' Smart): "We're really happy with him again, but he probably just lacked that bit of seasoning. When I needed him to bullock his way through he just wasn't ready to do it but there's no doubt he's a top-line horse of the future and we're really proud of him."

Tim Clark (Basquiat): "He ran terrific. He had a lovely run behind the speed and took a tight run and I thought he finished off well, he's just a bit immature still."

Tommy Berry (Ringmaster): "He just raced a bit fresh for me today. We were about to lob into a nice spot, one-one, but he just wouldn't come back to me enough to get that spot and then he raced three-wide no cover and toughed it out well and that was off the back-up last week. Probably six months away, but he's a nice horse."

Ryan Maloney (Fearless Knight): Unavailable

J Allen (Lethal Thoughts): "Super run, just was never comfortable this way of going. He's been racing the Melbourne way, so to still run as close as what he did I thought was a super effort."

Larry Cassidy (Tyresa): "She battled away. She has't got much of a sprint but she'll go for a spell and I think she can come back and be a nice staying filly."

Sam Clipperton (West Of Africa): "He didn't run too bad but he's just not the furnished product yet."
