Winning Trainer: Archie Alexander
Winning during Cup Week: "It's our Olympics and it's the biggest week of the year. No matter what day, what race, it's good.
"It is also great for the owners. It was well bought for $50,000 at the Melbourne sales. God, he was tough.
"I thought he was going to run well but he just kept on grinding and grinding. He's a good horse."
"He hasn't had many starts on this kind of ground but my gut feeling was that he would like it.
"He's a horse (going) from a maiden winner into town. We've liked the horse, we've always liked him. Great result.
"At Melbourne sales, my racing manager Jeremy Rogers said 'you must come and have a look at this horse'. Last day, very late.
"I went and had a look and here we are.
"Good strong ride by Benny. He had to be really tough and he was."
Future: "We've always thought he was a Derby horse and, to be honest, we thought he might run in the Derby right now but it all came a bit too soon.
"He'll probably have a break and be aimed at, who knows, maybe a Derby."
Winning Jockey: Ben Melham
"He drew a little bit awkward but he had speed and the leaders draw inside of me, he rolled across and had a good run with a nice bit of cover.
"When we straightened up the wall of horses put a good margin on me and it was really hard work up the straight. A solid headbreeze and he did a good job to claw his way back and win the finish.
"Good training effort and good to ride a winner for a mate of mine I went to school with - the Toohey boys. Good to do that."
