Winning Trainer: Lee & Shannon Hope (Lee speaking)
On the horse and today's race: "He's been racing very consistently, we've been happy with him and there was no reason not to bring him today.
"There was one (race) at Caulfield where he just got beaten by one that was just a little bit better than him so we'll just through we'd wait and go here if the track suits him and it did."
On getting the horse: "We're pretty fortunate that Bill Bowness sent him to us. He was sort of half retired and when we came back, me and Shannon (son), he said, 'do you want to have a go with him' and he's been great."
On how they train him: "He was in for the fight, but he'll do different things each day. He'll swim or he'll go in the sand or pop over a few logs.
"We just vary his work, he doesn't need a lot of galloping and he enjoys it. We're fortunate we've got three girls who ride him in work and they'll take him on a trail ride or something like that, which is good."
On Childs riding over Hope's step-son Blake Shinn: "He's been going well on him and Blake couldn't ride him one day so we left Jordy on and he's been riding him excellently.
"Blake could have ridden him today but Jordy's been helping us out so that's how it happened (he kept the ride)."
Winning Jockey: Jordan Childs
On today's win: "He's been really consistent of late, his last three runs have been super so I was very happy to get the job done today for the team."
On the race: "It panned out perfectly. We were able to get a bit of cover a couple of pairs back, they went along at a genuine-enough gallop and when I popped him out, he always hits a bit of a flat spot, but he just keeps building to the line. Lee and Shannon have done a really good job."
On his preferred racing style: "He's probably a lot better horse when he can have that run where he can come to the outside and just have plenty of clear air.
"The other day I was stuck down on the fence and just had to find a way through and he's probably not as dominant, so today was a lot better."
