Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace (Johann Gerard-Dubord comments)
On his quality: "He is a beautiful strong colt. His first start was very good. He jumped cleanly and had a good day out there. He improved with the experience and arrived here in Sydney last week in great order. Galloped our way of going. He's a lovely horse with plenty of upsides."
On the run in transit: "He jumped better today but he obviously had to take his medicine to get a bit of cover from there. Didn't take the turn that well but was very good late."
On going the different way: "A big change for him. The horse is still fairly immature mentally. He must have a bit of ability."
Winning Jockey: Tyler Schiller
On the win: "He had a very awkward draw to overcome today. I don't know if it was as much of a hindrance as it looked. He got to sit wide. I know it's not great being wide but a straight run to the first turn. A quality horse just needed some room."
"We followed the right horse into the race, took me to the 200m and I was happy that he kicked in really strong late. He ran a strong 1000m. I think he'll go further easily."
On the run: "He had me a little bit worried at the 300m when Beer Baron put that two lengths on him but he really knuckled in. Really happy with the way the colt responded under pressure."
"I think he is in for a pretty bright future. I don't think it's the toughest Inglis race but going forward he'll draw better barriers and have better runs than this and be able to finish off as well."
Beaten Jockeys:
Tommy Berry (Beer Baron): "Just the wide trip told the tale in the end but he's a lovely colt."
Chad Schofield (Blue Stratum): "He ran well. Very professional little horse. Showed really good gate speed. He was genuine up the straight and got beaten two lengths. Good run."
Jason Collett (Sacred Fort): "He has run well. Did a few things wrong but signs are good how he hit the line."
Rachel King (Cashaway Gold): "Jumped and travelled well. Just very green."
Dylan Gibbons (Deep Joy): "She was in the gates a while so didn't step great. After that she mustered into a spot and finished off as well as she could."
Andrew Adkins (Desirous): "Day just got ahead of her today. She's only a small filly. Needs to grow and strengthen. Should be handy in time."
Jett Stanley (Groove City): "Ran really well. Just a big filly needing a bit more time. Really leggy at the moment, got held up and went for tight runs down the straight."
Tim Clark (Jupiter Hills): "She had an OK run. Presented but peaked late and might have come to the end of it."
Tom Sherry (Nymphadora): "I copped a really bad bump from the barriers. Settled last which I didn't expect to be there but rattled home really well."
Reece Jones (Spirit In The Dark): "Good performance. Nice experience for her. Only had one trial but still a little bit timid. Acquitted herself well."
Zac Lloyd (Tokyo Lady): "Not much of a guide off that run. I think she will be a filly better ridden from a good barrier and ridden with more a sit."
Kerrin McEvoy (Valabing): "Nice filly. She just jumped in the air but she will be better when she learns what it is all about."
