On the win: "He came up here in perfect order and he's done so well while he's been up here."

On James McDonald being happy to get to the crown of the track in straight: "He didn't want to be near that inside. It's pretty wet out there."

What's in store for Pereille: "We'll see how he pulls up and we'll just map something out."

On Pereille and the win: "He's a really nice horse. He does everything really well and once he switches off he's got a lethal turn of foot, so it was good to use that."

Happy to settle back in the run: "Give him a chance, anyway. That was my instructions and come with one run at them. He did a good job. It's testing work."

On how heavy the track is: "It's well up there but to be fair to them it's beautiful, safe ground, it's just extremely, extremely heavy so it's going to be very testing on the horses. But the cover of grass is fantastic and I'm sure it will race well if you're handling it. "
