Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 4.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gunnedah and Wagga. 

GUNNEDAH: RACE 2 @ 1:35 PM

The consistent KLINSMANN (1) has hit the top five in all four starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Will strip fitter third-up from the spell should be in this for a very long way. ANGELA SISTINA (5) resumed in good order with a handy second at Coonamble and has placed two from two when racing second-up. Expect a bold showing. HE'S SPOKEN (4) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and gets the services of Buckley in the saddle. Has to be included. The well-related FLYING SQUAD (7) has hit the top four at her past seven starts and is a must for the exotics player. RUPICASSO (10) rarely puts in a bad effort and can earn some minor money.

WAGGA: RACE 3 @ 1:15 PM

VINTAGE DIESEL (2) won easily last start on a heavy track to make it two wins and a placing from three starts at this track and given the ease of that last start victory he should be adding to that record today. Looks the obvious choice on paper. MOHAHNA (5) won well here two back over 2000m when well supported but then disappointed slightly when finishing fourth of seven runners. Has drawn the inside and with Jeff Penza in the saddles can easily return to winning form. ROLAND GARROS (1) has each-way claims having won once here previously along with two wins from three starts over today's race distance. CROCODILE COD (8) is racing in solid form having placed in his last two starts which includes a third of 10 runners here two back when getting checked with 250m to run. Hard to see him not finishing in the top-three based on his recent performances.
