Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 15.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Dubbo, Geelong, Mackay and Scone.

LIFE WELL LIVED (2) dominated in testing conditions over 1600m two starts ago but found the 1310m here a bit too sharp most recently. Back up to the mile suits and he's sure to take a power of beating. KNEZE (5) led and won over this track last time out, holding off a late challenge to win by 0.2L. This is a tough harder, but he'll make his own luck up front and will be hard to gun down. THE PRES (4) was gallant at Goulburn last week and is suited by the soft conditions. Keep safe. FIORZANA (6) looks ready for this trip now and is a third-up winner previously. Keep safe.

GEELONG: RACE 2 @ 1:30 PM
HOOFS DON'T LIE (5) looks exceptionally hard to beat after closing off well for third in a much stronger race at Caulfield on debut. The winner there has since won again and dropping back to maiden grade, he should be going close. FAST WITNESS (3) is a son of Star Witness on debut for favourable connections that should be respected despite the wide draw. ATMOSPHERE (2) showed nice improvement second up at Sale and looks primed now with Damien Oliver taking the ride from the inside. ISLERO (6) was okay on debut at Pakenham and has been given a spell since to mature, consider.

MACKAY: RACE 5 @ 2:04 PM
IDLING BY (4) is in a hot barn and missed a lip at Toowoomba before winning the 55 at Rockhampton. Has a small claim today and draws for the run of the race. She can go right on with it. DUBAI MOON (5) was heavily-bet winning the Maiden at Townsville. He has more to give and can't be ruled out with the 2kg claim. LOUIS JANUARY (1) runs along and resumed here in stronger grade making the placings. Gets a big weight but the in-form Butler takes over and can get him into the money. NORAH (8) seeks the hat-trick in stronger on a 6-day return, She won't be far away.

SCONE: RACE 5 @ 2:35 PM
FANMALIA (3) did about what expected first-up and then was back to his best beaten a whisker at Tamworth this grade racing handier. That reads well for this and he can go on with it despite the weight rise. PERSIAN BEAUTY (9) has had one blip in a string of close-up efforts. He is worth another chance briefly freshened. CASIRINA (5) won the CL2 first-up and then found Call Me Artie much too good at Taree. Covered the others and will be fitter and has more to give. SCORCHED LAND (1) won this grade at Dubbo and has a 2kg claim to help with the weight lift. Not sure the rail will suit but he rates a chance.
