Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 26.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Taree, Bairnsdale and Kilcoy.
TAREE: RACE 4 @ 2:40 PMYORIKIRI (4) found one much to good here the latest but is racing in fine fettle and is back in grade. He will use the low gate and rates the one to beat. ANAZONE (10) ran his best race beaten 1.7L at Grafton this trip. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and is a player. THE TOWERS (13) hasn't been far away the last three and sits down in the weights with Penza a key jockey booking. The Tamworth effort two back reads well. FIORZANA (9) peaks and go on the placing here two-back. Draws wide but shouldn't be far way.
SELECTIONS: Backing Yorikiri.

BAIRNSDALE: RACE 6 @ 3:30 PM
The consistent PRECIOUS SOCKS (13) was an easy maiden winner two back the started favourite but found a couple better at Donald over this distance last time out. Beautifully drawn and is sure to be thereabouts again. STEEL CHOICE (10) is racing well without winning. Had a good battle with the eventual winner but succumbed late last start over this distance at the Pakenham synthetic. Races well here and on current form looks a solid each-way option. TOKELAU DRIFT (7) was an easy maiden winner a fortnight ago over this distance on the Ballarat synthetic. Progressing well and further success is not out of the question. HIGH RISK (13) had to go back from a wide gate last start and was never involved. Draws nicely today and with blinkers applied is a likely improver.
SELECTIONS: #13 Precious Socks is good each-way value.
KILCOY: RACE 1 @ 1:40 PM
REDHEADS ROCK (3) was beaten 1L resuming at the Gold Coast for the new barn improved. Followed with a near miss on the poly over 1400m. Has the speed to clear the sticky barrier and will take plenty of beating. SUPER SWEET (4) peaks and hasn't been far away including at Doomben. Draws for a soft run and gets another chance. TREMENDOUS (12) will be better for the first-up run and is in the mix. POWER PUNCH (10) resumes and will race over further. Usually needs one but is worth keeping onside.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Redheads Rock
