Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 24.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Canterbury, Moonee Valley, Muswellbrook, Orange, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Wodonga.

CANTERBURY: RACE 4 @ 7:30 PM

SUMO STAR (2) comes out of a strong form race after resuming with a gritty on-speed second over 1200m behind Shadows Of Love at Rosehill on November 11. Strips much fitter now and has a solid record this track and trip. Looks hard to stop. DEAR JEWEL (4) progressive mare resuming from a lengthy break after finishing eighth in the LR South Pacific Classic over 1400m at Randwick last April. Not asked to do much in two trials and drops sharply in grade for this. KIRIBATI (8) racing well on the provincial circuit and should be close to his top now third-up. Drawn to get the right run and looks up to the rise in grade with the blinkers added. LITTLE BEGINNINGS (1) Kris Lees-trained gelding resuming after racing in stronger company last time in. Fitted with two strong trials and has the ability to sprint well fresh with the claim.
SELECTIONS: Sumo Star to win.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 3 @ 7:15 PM

CELUI (1) was outclassed in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes last start but did win very well over this track and distance prior and looks very well suited back in trip and class. Rates highly and should be going close. UNDER AND OVER (5) resumed with a smart win at Ballarat before a sound effort in a similar race here second up. Further improvement is expected. HOLY RACKET (3) found a handy 3yo race at Flemington too hot last start but his form prior was sound, not beaten far by Celui here prior. In the mix. VALOIS (2) was well handled by Celui when they met at Bendigo but went on with it to win well at Mornington last start. Lightly raced and can bridge back some of the margin.
SELECTIONS: Celui to win.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM

MAZITA (3) chimed in late and was beaten just over a length when resuming from a spell recently over 1280m at this course. Honest type suited by the longer trip and might go to the next level with blinkers on for the first time. Last start Moree maiden winner GOLD SMILES (8) finds a deeper assignment today but after a frustrating run of outs he is now heading the right way. Enjoys a perfect run out of the inside gate and with a light weight he can play a role. STARRY JACK (1) returned to form at Armidale last time out, battling on well for second over 1300m after racing handy throughout. Good enough to test these if on-song. KARAOKE KING (6) hasn't won for a long while but caught the eye late last start at Dubbo. Today's step up in distance is a plus. BIG TIME CHARLIE (7) tired late when resuming here at this trip recently. Fitter and should give backers a sight.
SELECTIONS: Mazita to win.

ORANGE: RACE 4 @ 2:59 PM

LINE OF LAW (1) returns. Has made a positive start to her career and strips fitter for two solid hitouts in readiness. Rates highly and looks set to run well. WILD BEAU (5) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win last time out over 900m at Queanbeyan. Harder task ahead this time but winning hoop sticks and further improvement is anticipated. Can measure up. PRECIOUS SOCKS (3) gave backers a sight last start but was safely held to the line, finishing third. Fitter this time. In the mix. HEAVENLY PROPHET (7) hasn't tasted success for a long time but has the best figures to see her be competitive. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Line Of Law the one to beat.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 9:08 PM

CHASSAGNE (10) has the hoof on the till having finished runner-up at her last two starts over this distance, missing by just a nose at this venue before closing well at Grafton. This looks a suitable race so can find the winner's circle. A DIME APPROACH (1) delivered a maiden win in good style last time when scoring by close to 4 lengths at Ipswich. That was his first attempt at this distance range. Could go through his grades now. FAST LADY (7) has been racing well on the poly with a win and two placings from her last three outings. Can continue that form on the turf. ZELSON (5) comes off a Mackay placing and his lone career win came at this track and trip.
SELECTIONS: Chassagne to break through.

CAIRNS: RACE 7 @ 4:43 PM

MAZZARATTI (2) deserved the Townsville Maiden win and then was narrowly beaten at Innisfail in a CL1. The speed-bred gelding can stalk the lead from the rail and a bounce is on the cards. SNAP CHAT (4) has been busting to win and finds easier. Just missed at Townsville his latest heavily bet and the form hoop sticks. A winning chance. BEAN WARRIOR (1) just missed the hat-trick at Cooktown. Keeps the 2kg claim and should have the speed to clear the wide gate. A hope if that works out. LORD POWER (11) resumes and has placed 2/4 fresh. Can show better form and is a betting watch.
SELECTIONS: Backing Mazzaratti.

WODONGA: RACE 1 @ 1:10 PM

Tricky race to open the card with a few facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade JORDY GIRL (10) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up in five of seven starts to date. McNeil has been on board for two of those second placings and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Rates the testing material. ZUURBERG (4) has hit the top four in all three runs around this circuit and is drawn to get a soft run in transit from gate three. Looms as the main danger. HELLS SON (7) resumes here but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Can run a race while fresh. TOOKAY PETE (2) returned in good order with a handy third at Echuca and can go right on with the job now. In the mix. LUNAR SISTER (11) failed last time out but go on the solid second at Wagga two back. Worth another chance.
SELECTIONS: Jordy Girl to shed the maiden tag.
