Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 21.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gosford, Seymour, Rockhampton and Bunbury.
GOSFORD: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
MY TRUTH (1) ran a nice race here first-up then didn't do a great deal at Warwick Farm last start at big odds. Back in his right grade today and the step up to the mile is crucial as all three of his wins have come at this distance in rain affected going. WHATADILEMMA (4) stalked the leader then cleared right away for an easy maiden win over this distance at Newcastle last time out. Consistent gelding who has missed the placings just once in eight appearances. Big chance to go back-to-back with the confidence up. CARING LASS (7) relished the heavy going last start at Canberra and put a gap on her rivals at the end of 1600m. Still only third-up so she can keep improving, with the sting out of the ground a big help. LICHESTER (11) stepped up to 1300m and ran a much better race last time out at Hawkesbury. Open to further improvement. OSMAN (2) struggled over 1900m last time. Boasts a strong record at the mile so he comes right into calculations.
SELECTIONS: My Truth is excellent each-way value.

SEYMOUR: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM
STAR HONOUR (9) has been racing in honest fashion this campaign with two wins and two third placings from four starts. Looks nicely off here and is expected to go close. AUROLAA (5) should be at his top now following two runs from a break. Looks much better placed against this lot and should make a bold bid. TEA MASTER (7) resumed with a solid effort at Bendigo when closing off strongly. Strips fitter here and won't be far from the money. VANKUKLA (1) resumed with a narrow win at Bendigo before producing a poor showing at Kyneton last time. Has been freshened for this and can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Back Star Honour to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 1 @ 1:45 PM
UNLIKELY HERO (1) brings two near-misses and was heavily bet here at the latest. Has ticked over with a trial since and can take this out presenting fitter again. ROCKY REBEL (4) comes out of the same contest narrowly beaten. Has to manage a wide gate but can make the finish with average luck. MR GREY (3) would win this at best but has been struggling to find it for the new barn. Has a handy 3kg claim and might be ready to show more. SOFTEN IT UP (11) sat handier here his latest and was better. Has to find more but will use the rail and give a sight at a price. RUBY SCARLET (7) finally draws a low gate and can build on the Mackay placing also at odds.
SELECTIONS: With Unlikely Hero.
