Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Scone, Cowra, Mornington, Benalla, Ipswich, Mount Gambier, Bunbury and Hobart.

SCONE: RACE 4 @ 3:25 PM

SHINE YOUR LIGHT (5) classy filly resuming. Failed to stretch out in the heavy (8) going when ninth in the G2 Percy Sykes Stakes won by Kristilli over 1200m at Randwick ten months ago. Not asked to do much when fifth in a recent 900m trial at Muswellbrook on January 10. Will take plenty of holding out. MAGNUCAT (8) created a big impression on debut when a slick 3 len winner as fav over 900m at Muswellbrook two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has upside and will take catching again from the good gate. PULL THE TAIL (3) has race fitness on his side and racing in a rich vein of form. Went out hard and tired late when second over 1200m at Inverell on January 1. Goes well this trip and can measure up again. ENSIGN PARKER (7) resuming from a four-month break after winning his maiden over 1280m at Muswellbrook on October 2. Progressive type expected to sprint well fresh.
SELECTIONS: Shine Your Light to win.

COWRA: RACE 2 @ 1:15 PM

LUCKY FORCE (2) improved out of sight last start when lining up for just the second time, leading and finding plenty to be beaten under a length over 1300m at Wyong. Finds a far easier maiden today and if he holds his form he should be winning this. GRAEME'S SHOUT (6) is having his first run under Garry Lunn after three starts in Victoria. Best effort was two runs back when fifth over 1521m at Geelong. Won't find this as hard so worth plenty of thought. RADIANT GLOW (8) is another Victorian import with a new stable. Last raced five weeks ago when midfield over 1800m at Horsham. Might need more ground but should be hitting the line. SINGLE SHOT (4) has struggled in two runs since a very close fourth over 1450m at Kempsey. Could be the surprise packet with blinkers going on for the first time. FINDING ELLE (10) has done nothing in two runs this prep but tackles a softer race today.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Lucky Force.

MORNINGTON: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

BAVARIAN LADY (1) can run well at odds. The first up effort at Sandown-Lakeside reads very well for this when third, beaten 1.1 lengths before an even effort at Geelong when in the market. If she bounces back to that fresh effort she's right in this. JUSTIFIABLE AWARD (3) resumed with an easy win here over 1200m, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Better suited to this trip and will be well fancied to go on with the job. PERFECT ENDING (2) was sound first up at Seymour over 1300m, holding ground to be beaten 1.5 lengths. Should be suited to this trip now and can get into a good spot in run. In the mix. AERIAL BAY (7) is lightly raced off a maiden win at Wangaratta and can measure up.
SELECTIONS: Bavarian Lady on top.

BENALLA: RACE 2 @ 1:40 PM

MUTSUHITO (2) has hit the top-four in all four outings this preparation and looks to be nearing a maiden victory. Strikes a very winnable contest here and gets 2kg weight relief with the claim. Should be in this for a long way. OUR SILVER LININGS (11) has been thereabouts in both starts to date and strips fitter second-up from the break. Among the main hopes. PRETTY PENGUIN (9) went down by a narrow margin when resuming before just missing the placings last time out. A must for the multiples. STEPCHILD (3) is on debut for Patrick Payne with his strike jockey in Billy Egan engaged. Has showed good signs at the trials and won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Mutsuhito to finally break through.

IPSWICH: RACE 4 @ 4:08 PM

OSAKA MISS (3) found one much too good at Beaudesert over 2400m off a solid effort at Eagle Farm the same distance. Was a comfortable Grafton winner prior at this trip prior and Orman rides first time. Will enjoy a soft run and this is a winnable assignment. AUTUMN SHOW (4) spikes his figures beaten a whisker here enjoying the longer trip. Keeps Wiggins and is a decent chance to repeat. SEA TREASURES (2) rates well off the narrow defeat at Gatton where he also spiked his figures. Has a small claim and races at peak. Consider.
SELECTIONS: Backing Osaka Miss.

MT GAMBIER: RACE 3 @ 2:45 PM

HOLD THE PHONE (11) has progressed nicely with each run in her debut prep. Showed plenty of ticker at the latest to keep chasing after racing wide throughout. Don't expect this to be as tough. Main contender. WHAT A FLIRT (14) was denied narrowly of resuming a winner here at the latest. The rise in trip should suit but she will need a smart steer from a sticky gate. Will likely head back from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them. THE PENSKE FILE (7) has been thereabouts in his two resuming efforts but just struggles to land the winning blow. Fitter now and is in the mix. MANHATTAN LANE (13) battled bravely into the placings here last time out. Drawn well and gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claimer piloting. Worth including.
SELECTIONS: Backing Hold The Phone to win.

BUNBURY: RACE 8 @ 5:35 PM

SILVER EYE (8) won impressively last start at Belmont and can continue his winning ways in this suitable assignment. Pike sticks with him and he looks as though he can keep improving stepping out in trip. Drops in weight today and is the one to beat. THEHORSEMAN (3) scored a nice win at Belmont 18 days ago, getting there at the right on the post. Is a course and distance winner previously and will carry the same weight today after the claim of Campbell. Leading chance. GALANCY (12) has been a little off his first two runs this campaign, finishing 2.4L off the winner here last time out. Steven Parnham takes the ride now and if he can recapture the form from earlier this campaign he should be right in the finish. OUTFIELD (5) won easily at Mt Barker last time out and has to be respected off that performance. OUR NEMESIS (4) led all the way to win comfortably at Pinjarra and is not to be discounted.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Silver Eye.

HOBART: RACE 8 @ 4:12 PM

WINGS OF SONG (2) presents off two easy wins with the latest 16 days ago in the Listed Tasmanian Guineas over this distance. He's since switched to the Trinder yard and McNeil stays in the saddle. Has a handy barrier and will take a stack of beating. ISLAND WARRIOR (1) comes out of the same race beaten 1.5L. Spiked his figures in that and can form the quinella again. BOBBLE (3) didn't finish it off in the Guineas but is better than that and gets a key gear switch. No surprise to see an improved effort. GOLDEN MEADOW (4) has been around the mark in lesser grade and is a minor hope.
SELECTIONS: Backing Wings Of Song.
