Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for February 04.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Sapphire Coast, Murwillumbah, Sale, Sunshine Coast, Bunbury and Launceston.
SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 7 @ 4:45 PM
Group 3 placegetter PIONEER LASS (3) looks set to peak fourth-up after hitting the line late when a gritty nose second over 1500m at Rosehill in Bm78 class on January 20. Looking for the mile and should get the right tempo to take this out. ONE AYE (8) fitter after two runs back and much better effort from the wide gate when a pugging third over 1425m in the Moruya Cup on January 8. Gets all the favours today from the inside gate with the claim. CREAM RISES (9) back in grade after running an even race in town first-up when a slick 3 len winner over 1400m at Wagga on January 16. Placed over the mile and has the right figures to take a hand in the finish. PRINCE AURELIUS (4) handy gelding who raced close to the speed and returned to winning ways over 1300m at Wyong last time out. In form and is a solid top-three hope.

MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 3 @ 3:05 PM
BEAUTY BOUND (3) looks to have a mortgage on this race if she can bring her last start second at Kembla Grange into this. Led there off a wide gate and stayed on well. Take plenty of beating. TORRE EGGER (2) is worth another chance after failing first-up when right in the market at Doomben in a maiden. Fitter and looks some threat. EXCEED TO AMBITION (8) is an interesting runner in new stable and has struck a winnable race. LAST LINE DANCE (9) could show up and DECEPTIVE (1) gets the chance to improve.
SELECTIONS: Beauty Bound to win.
SALE: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM
TILUSSION (8) resumes and looks well placed. She started favourite on debut at Muswellbrook and just found one better over 1000m before being tested against some very smart 3yo types and dropping right out. She ran well in a recent trial and looks a key chance in this. URUBULA (9) was beaten 10 lengths on debut at this track and distance but was hard in the market on that occasion and the winner has won again since. Expected to improve sharply. CHARMING DEEL (4) ran midfield over 1000m on debut at Mornington, working home well for fourth. Looks far better suited to the 1200m and will be hard to hold out. MEASURED (3) resumes. She can mix her form but her best run to date did come in a good maiden at this track and trip. Respect. FLOWER GALLERY (1) can place again.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 4 @ 4:10 PM
SIR LAMORAK (4) has had two runs in town this preparation and will be better for them. Has superior figures over middle distances and longer and the 1800m suits now. Gets the blinkers first time and Maloney is a key jockey switch for the apprentice. WESTERN FRONT (5) is also third-up and has been racing in better grade in Sydney. Uses the rail and expect the leading barn to have him sharply improved. DIANA'S AFFAIR (1) won here this trip and then just missed the one after also at this distance. Gets KWT and the city barn is going well. MASTER MARKO (2) will be fitter and is ready to win. Orman's booking is a lead and he can't be ruled out.

BUNBURY: RACE 5 @ 2:55 PM
BERGAMO (3) bounced back last start over 1400m when bumping into a couple of smart ones in tougher grade. This is easier and CJP won on the mare first-up this campaign. Getting out in trip should suit her and if she has improvement to come, it's ominous signs for her rivals. HEAVENLY LADY (5) is better than she showed last start at Belmont when well beaten, with her form prior stacking up nicely in this field. Happy to put one bad run behind her and expect her to get back to her prior form. Should be right in the thick of things. DIRTY CHAI (4) steps out into new territory today but races as though she'll relish the rise in trip. She ran on strongly at Pinjarra last time out and the 2kg claim of Gaerth has her nicely weighted. Sure to be in the finish. CITINO (2) is much better than what he showed last start and the booking of Chris Parnham adds confidence. Include. SOARING SOLO (8) won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Bergamo.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 6 @ 3:23 PM
MUSCLE UP (1) brought strong form to resumption in a 76 and was narrowly beaten. Delivered the 68 comfortably after as expected. Races forward and is well-placed with the 2kg claim. Tough to beat. SEYDOUX (8) just missed on the synthetic at a short quote and she posted a big figure at her most recent go on the turf. Fitter and Pires goes aboard replacing the apprentice. Should go close. QUEENBOROUGH FLYER (6) will be better for the two runs back and is yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Faces a slightly easier assignment and can turn things around. FAKE MAGIC (2) was back to form placing here this grade. Will sit forward and the 3kg claim brings him into it.
