Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for February 27.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Scone, Bendigo and Townsville.
SCONE: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM
RESURRECTED (7) has a distinct fitness edge over these and looks ready to win. Sat on the speed when a close-up fifth over 1550m at Canterbury on February 9. This is much easier and no excuses from the inside draw. ART VOLANT (16) promised a lot this time in and looks close to shedding her maiden tag. Recent efforts have been good enough for this and will relish the step-up to 1400 here. Maps well and must be kept safe. KIMONO (11) looking for a firmer deck today after finishing a battling fourth over 1400m at Bathurst two weeks ago. Will need a good ride from the gate but has the ability to take a hand in the finish. DRACO'S FIRE (4) finished second on debut last start at Bathurst. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Resurrected to win.

BENDIGO: RACE 1 @ 1:00 PM
CASTLE ON HIGH (4) was bought out of NZ off the back of a second placing on a heavy track at Avondale early last Spring. He resumed with a solid run for fourth at Sandown-Lakeside nearly 3-weeks ago and will relish the step up to a mile. He slides back in class and should break through in this. On top. BANQUET (3) was a beaten favourite at Kyneton on debut and only peaked on his effort late on that occasion. He is backing up fairly quickly which is always a good sign and he won't be in this grade for long. TRUTH I FEAR (8) has been thereabouts in all 4 starts this prep and is now ready for a mile. He has a nice swing in the draws from his last run and is worth including in all combinations.
SELECTIONS: Castle On High to win.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM
The lightly-raced BRADSHAW (7) missed a whisker twice over 1200m on the dry before delivering the comfortable Maiden win on a heavy track. Comes down from Cairns on an 8-day return and is capable of taking the next step. FLAMING HOMER (2) races handy and spiked his figures winning the 60 on-pace. Draws to advantage and is a chance. SCAPINI (6) has switched barns and has been freshened. She's been going okay and has the speed to clear the awkward gate. LET'S RIDE (5) won the 58 here well and then found the CL3 a bit of a stretch when he led. The grade and shorter sprint suit and she's on the 7-day backup.
SELECTIONS: With Bradshaw
