Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 02.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Flemington, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks and Ascot.
RANDWICK: RACE 6 @ 3:25 PM
Group 3 winner MANAAL (1) returned with a slashing second behind Lady Of Camelot over 1100m at Rosehill on February 3. Back to set weights today and desperate for the 1200m. Look for her swooping late. FLY FLY (11) comes out of a solid form race on debut when a courageous fourth to Switzerland over 1100m in the Pierro at this track on February 17. Further improved now and has the upside to play a leading role. CHATEAU MIRAVAL (4) well-bred Zousain filly who showed good speed on debut when a gritty nose winner over 1100m at Randwick Kensington on February 14. Likely to go forward and has the ability to sneak into the minor money. EXTREME DIVA (6) knuckled down strongly when finished 1.5 lengths from the winner here. Should be winding up late again.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM
BOLD BASTILLE (1) was a very good winner on debut at Moonee Valley before resuming off a setback in the G2 Blue Diamond Prelude and being overrun late by eventual Blue Diamond winner Hayasugi. Suited with that run under the belt and back to 1000m, she should be taking care of these. DRIFTING (5) was a smart winner on debut at Hawkesbury, scoring by 1.75 lengths and doing it in the style of a good horse. Can measure right up. ALWAYS ENUFF (6) is a Capitalist filly on debut who has looked good at the jump-outs and is suited by the 1000m on debut. LOVERS FOREVER (11) is an Exceed And Excel filly on debut who has won a jump-out and gets D Lane on board.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Bold Bastille.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 8 @ 4:27 PM
MILLANE (5) returned from a break last start and was too good in closing strongly to score at this track and trip, getting home by a long neck. He was gelded ahead of this campaign and it could be the making of him. Can go on with it. KANAZAWA (10) has trialled since a midfield finish when resuming so should have come on. Improver. MAHBABY (9) is building a good record at this distance having run on for second at Doomben last start, beaten just half a length. Can figure again. OUTLAWED (12) was very consistent last time in and deserves respect resuming off a trial. PRINCESS TENKO (13) won a trial in readiness for this and has a strong record at the distance so keep safe fresh.
SELECTIONS: Millane to go on with it.
MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 8 @ 4:37 PM
MY KHALIFA (1) returned with a barnstorming finish in the City of Marion Stakes a week ago, finishing at a rate of knots behind the talented Snapped. Is yet to salute second up but looks to have returned in near career-best form. Will take plenty of stopping regardless, especially if the inside alley can be utilised. LE FERRARI (7) was poised to strike here last time out and tried hard in the late, only to fall just shy of the winner. Carries the fitness edge and could prove tough to reel in if he gets it his own way in front. TAPINFORPAR (10) rarely turns in a poor one. Goes well here and draws to get the gun run. Must for exotic players. PEGASI (4) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Backing My Khalifa to win.
ASCOT: RACE 1 @ 12:29 PM
BONJOY (7) bought up the hat-trick in very easy style and this looks a similar race to what she knocked over last time out. She won with ease from the rear and only rises 0.5kg despite the win. Looks set to make it four in a row. BIRDIEAGLE (3) put in a bad one behind Bonjoy last week but does have figures prior that could trouble the top pick. Gets a nice pull in the weights this time and with a better effort expected, he can give the top pick something to think about. MATERIAL WITNESS (5) had it all his own way up front last time out and still couldn't hold off Bonjoy from the rear. Will make his own luck up on the speed and the 1.5kg claim comes in handy. Can be in the finish again. THE SPRUIKER (6) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back to form. BRUCE ALMIGHTY (1) is usually around the mark and merits plenty of respect.
SELECTIONS: Bonjoy can win again.
