Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 07.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Grafton, Pakenham, Kyneton and Pinjarra.
GRAFTON: RACE 3 @ 2:20 PM
TOP ACT (13) promising Matt Dunn-trained filly who hit the line late on debut with a solid second over 1106m at this track on February 17. Extra trip suits and should be shedding her maiden status quickly. FOOLS PLAY (10) handy filly with her hoof on the till after two runs back. Got out late when third over 1106m at this track at the latest. Look for her getting home strongly from the sticky draw. GOLDEN COPPER (6) went forward and knocked up late when returned with an even fourth over 1106m here on February 17. Has upside and looks good each-way value. KID BILLY (4) drifted in betting and ran accordingly when resumed with a plugging fifth over 1106m at this track. Has a good second-up record and sharp improvement expected from the inside gate.
SELECTIONS: Top Act to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 5 @ 7:45 PM
CRUMPETS (8) resumed with a strong effort here in a future stars heat over 1200m, beaten 3 lengths into third. Strips fitter for that and up in trip should suit. Rates highly and should go close. WALKINASTRAITLINE (4) resumes. He was good on debut at Geelong last time in before an even effort and was sent for a spell. Lane booked for the first up run and drawn the inside, expect a good run. GRATIFICATION (14) was sound on debut and can figure with natural improvement. REBELLIOUS HOPE (10) has been going well and with even luck from the wide gate she can get into the money.
SELECTIONS: Crumpets to win.
KYNETON: RACE 5 @ 4:00 PM
COUNTESS JENNI (9) found Sandown-Hillside a stretch and then went close over a mile at Terang despite the saddle shifting early in the straight. The 1900m should be ideal now and Bates is reunited and will position her forward. She's ready to win and it's hard to risk the premier Maher barn. JAYZEAL (13) brings decent city form over a mile. He should enjoy a soft run from the inside gate and the extra 300m shouldn't bother. He can make the finish again. VADARCHIE (8) handy gelding who finished fifth last start but was beaten only 1.5 lengths over 1950m at Yarra Valley. Solid prospects. THE YACHTSMAN (4) is unbeaten at this longer trip and looks one of the major players.
SELECTIONS: Backing Countess Jenni.
PINJARRA: RACE 7 @ 5:30 PM
REGAL STATUE (7) gave away a big start and was only beaten 1.3L at Pinjarra in stronger company. Kicked off the campaign with back-to-back wins and keeps improving. Chris Parnham goes on for the 2kg apprentice and she will be hard to beat. DIVINE FLIRT (1) has been close-up in town both starts back and drops in grade from Ascot last time. The 1200m suits better and she has more to offer. Has a 4kg claim and that brings her right into it. BISECTOR (3) was nudged out at Ascot against the above but the speedy galloper has to manage the outside barrier today. She can make the finish if things go her way. MYSTIC JANE (6) has been plainer her last two but her form prior stacks right up. Comes back to a short sprint following a brief freshen and that could suit.
SELECTIONS: Backing Regal Statue.
