Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 21.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Newcastle, Albury, Ipswich, Bendigo, Narrogin and Pakenham.

NEWCASTLE: RACE 3 @ 2:25 PM

RATTLE AND HUM (3) former UK-trained import who made his Australian debut with an encouraging fifth over 1600m at Kembla Grange on February 29. Strips fitter now and will relish this trip and further. Claim helps again and will take plenty of stopping. BUSH GIRL (10) back in trip and a month between runs when a much better performance as favourite to finish third over 1600m at Kembla Grange on February 29. Expecting a similar performance today. ZENMASTER (4) back in easier company when a dismal 21 lens sixth over 1850m here on March 2. Handy on his day and the blinkers come off here. Gets map favours and worth another chance. LONG MEMORY (6) at her peak for this and sound effort when fourth over 1600m at Kembla Grange on February 29. Can take a hand in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Rattle And Hum to win.

ALBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:35 PM

AQUALINA'S STAR (8) was no match for an impressive winner last start at Wagga but still chased hard to finish second. Cherry-ripe now and expect her to be sharpened with the blinkers going on first time. The one to beat. OH WHAT A KNIGHT (2) failed to make an impact on debut at Canberra before heading straight back to the paddock. Yet to be seen at public trials but did show ability in his work prior to debut and the booking of Tyler Schiller is a good push for his chances. Don't take lightly, especially if there's market support. CONJOIN (9) is a Unite And Conquer gelding stepping out on debut for the Joseph & Jones partnership. Strips fitter for a softer Goulburn trial and is drawn well. In the mix. Smaller cases can also be made for the resuming BOX OF CRACKERS (3) and CAB PERRIO (5).
SELECTIONS: Aqualina's Star will take some beating.

IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 2:47 PM

ELLA TE AMA (5) headed north after placing in Sydney and hasn't been too far away in two Brisbane runs since, last time finishing 2.3L away over 1650m at Doomben. Ticking along well and finds a winnable assignment. OZARCH (4) scored back-to-back Toowoomba wins last month and hasn't been far away since, last time beaten 2.4 lengths fourth over 1700m at Gold Coast. Distance specialist with two wins and a placing from four runs. Major player. MAXCALEMMA (3) worked home well to finish less than 2 lengths away in second last start over 1350m at Doomben. Maloney goes aboard. Contender. WHISTLING SPIRIT (7) continued his consistent form last start when 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 1400m at Sunshine Coast Poly. Respect.
SELECTIONS: Ella Te Ama looks well placed so going her way.

BENDIGO: RACE 6 @ 4:30 PM

Price-Kent-trained OUR TURN NOW (3) resumed in good order at Pakenham at 64 level and just missed a place. He has more to give and the mile is sure to suit. Finds easier grade and with the extra fitness he will be hard to roll. BOSSA NOVA LAD (11) peaks and has been within range at Sale his last two. Has an awkward gate but John Allen is a key jockey booking and he gets his chance, The Snowden-trained REGGIE'S FOLLY (6) has been racing well without winning and will present at peak. Respect with the first-time blinkers applied. MISCHINKA (1) was racing well at the mile before the half-length defeat at Wangaratta over 2000m. Dropping back in distance is a niggle but she has the rails gate and handy 3kg claim. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Our Turn Now.

NARROGIN: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

BE AWESOME (5) is another decent winning chance for the Cooper-Williams linkage. He improved again beaten less than 2L at Ascot and this is easier. Has the blinkers first-time applied and dropping back to 1900m won't be an issue. In light and should take beating. MONEY FOR OLD ROPE (2) raced over this trip at York and missed a whisker as a well-bet favourite. Maps for the run of the race and is a threat. BEERMULLAH (8) rates well off two near misses at Ascot and Pinjarra. Rode the speed the latest and the rail should suit. He's also a chance. DESERT PETARD (4) folded up from the speed at Ascot and best to go on the nose defeat at Geraldton prior over a mile. He will give a sight back to this level.
SELECTIONS: Going with Be Awesome.

PAKENHAM: RACE 6 @ 8:15 PM

MODOWN (1) resumed with a rock-solid second placing at this track over 1200m, edged out by the barest of margins when hard in the market. He won his maiden very well second up last time in before running second at Flemington. Rates highly and should give a huge sight. LET'S GET DOWN (3) is going well, running second in both starts at this track, the latest over this trip. Hard to hold out. BRAZEN KINGDOM (2) was just fair last time but had been good on resumption and should bounce back third up. HEAVEN FORBID (5) resumes having won well at her only start last time in. She's shown good promise and will take beating.
SELECTIONS: Modown to win.
