WARWICK FARM: September 10

Race 7: Co-trainer Amanda Turner advised that Sabino Speed had pulled up well with no abnormalities. Ms Turner indicated that in her view Sabino Speed may have choked down and for this reason she has added a tongue tie to the horse's gear for its next race start.

• Trainer Donna Logan pleaded guilty to a charge of negligence, under AR175K, in that she failed to properly instruct her Australian stable representative in the use of alkalising agents in the lead up to Rising Romance finishing in 4th placing in the Tramway Stakes at Royal Randwick on September 6.

It was established that the alkalising agent Neutradex was included in the feed of Rising Romance on the morning of September 5 in contravention of AR178AA(b), which prohibits alkalising agents being given within one clear day of racing.

In handing down a fine of $500, stewards took into account Mrs Logan’s prior clear record as a trainer, her cooperation with the inquiry and that the offence was at the lower end of the scale.
